Lover of water and outdoor activities, kite surfing and surfing mad! Got P. 2 or so years ago and am trying to not let it stop me doing what I love. Life has it's ups and downs, just like the waves in the ocean.
Daily Supplement list.
6 x fish oil
6 x evening primrose oil
2 x turmeric
2 x milk thistle
1 x probiotic (fridge)
I did extensive research on the oils effect on my body and decided that these 2 are best for me. Have a look online and try out what works. Turmeric for overall health benefit.
Milk thistle for my liver health.
Daily Topical treatments
- Lemon juice x2
- CBD, Lavender, coconut oil x 1 or 2
When I first wake up and before bed I apply concentrated lemon juice. This stings at first but after a few days I saw results and kept going. I believe ACV also works I just don't like the smell.
I also mixed my own moisturiser using coconut oil, Lavender essential oil and 99% CBD Isolate powder. It's much cheaper than buying moisturiser. I would apply after a shower and also one other time if I get around to it.
The CBD is most important in the mix and showed great benefits to my skin.
This is alongside a healthy diet however not cutting anything out, except I don't have too much dairy.
Sunshine through the summer played a big part in the healing process however I've just found that sunshine by itself doesn't help nearly as fast as if combined with the above list. Plus it's the middle of winter now up in Denmark and I'm still sitting on around 90% clear.
In addition to this I just purchased Liverel and will try that over the next 3 months.
If anyone has questions just let me know and I'll expand. :)
I've been taking high doses fish oil alongside evening primrose oil daily for the past 10 months internally. Have just stopped to see if they were working. I have flared up again quite quickly which says to me they are! Getting back on them shortly.
One thing that I researched and you might have a look at with flaxseed oil if you were look for an alternative fish oil as stated above it has more Omega 3 however the chain is different and less absorbent to the body. Think they are called EPA, DHA and one other. If you want some more info I'll copy in from an article I have read.
All in all omega 3s are one of the most important supplements to take overall and everyone should do it. Brain, joint, immune and plenty of other benefits.
In terms of topically I believe other things may be more beneficial but worth a go! If it works for you then happy days.
I've almost completely cleared my P this summer with a good amount of sun and lemon juice. 2 to 3 times a week of getting my self in the sun. So happy with the result :) hope you see some similar results! Also the old catch 22 of the more you get into the sun the better it gets and the more you want to get into it. Building up the courage at first is the hardest part!
Turmeric is God's gift to us flakes IMO. Research says it can be used as a steroid alternate as topical treatment. Massive anti-inflammatory, great for pretty much everything apart from your clothes! Even fights carcinogenic cells and protects your immune system.
I swear by it in conjunction with everything diet related. It's no cure as we all know but it helps a lot!
Just like anything, do your own research and see what works for you but I'd advise looking into this
I travel very often and many times long flights between hemispheres. 30+ hours flying knock me into scaley hell for about a week.
This should never stop you getting out and enjoying all the beauty there is to see in this world though, totally worth it! Especially in Europe, a couple of hours flight and you're somewhere drastically different. I love it :D
For me everything flared up once I was put on night shift. Working at sea we usually work through the days your normal 8-530 with atleast 7-9 hours sleep a night. Once I was put on night shift my P flared up straight away. I was getting 5 hours sleep through daylight hours, my diet went out the window due to fatigue and not working in the sun didn't help either. Still trying to get things back under control a month later. So I'd have to agree with you!
