Not sure UV is going to work for me. It won't penetrate plaque so they gave me all sorts to get rid of it but it's reforming faster.

First UV session yesterday, just my arms to see how I tolerate it. Then they sent me home with buckets of gunge and mummy wrappings. I need to get the plaque off first, about a week they said. Not looking forward to this bit.

If anyone is taking green tea supplements, not necessarily for P, maybe take a look at the BBC News site today.

For some reason I have very little in the way of plaque right now, on my large areas of actual plaque P, or my many many guttae spots. The red raised look still persists though, along with the itch and burn. First derm appointment Wednesday.

Anyone having eliminated nightshades, how long before you either saw a positive effect or concluded they weren't causing you problems?

P's driving me crazy today, itching like mad then feeling like I've rubbed it in acid soaked steel. I cannot wait to start the uv treatment. I'm feeling pretty miserable right now.

Apologies for not posting much, I have second degree burns over my right hand so I'm writing left handed and it takes much longer, 15 minutes for this post.

Any recommendations for something I could add to bathwater that might reduce night time itching?

Well I've arrived in North Yorkshire and as I was told, no mobile signal here. However my digs have some WiFi so I'll be on okay.

Nothing to do with P, I just need to vent. I just accidentally ripped one of my big toenails off, blood everywhere and it hurts like a you know what. Note to self - don't rip your toenails off again, ever.

I'm officially on holiday now and go away mid week. I'm hoping the rest and being away from stress will help some. There's only very patchy 4g cover and I know there's no WiFi so no dramas can reach me.

For years my plaques were a biegey browny colour, then a few months ago the turned pure white. In the last couple of days, my guttae has followed suit. I now look like the incredible polka dot man.

People who have had successful UV treatment, how long till you noticed improvement? I have both plaque, chest and back, and guttae, top to toe.

I put a can of the aerosol moisturiser in the fridge today. If the night time itching gets bad, hopefully spraying with it will calm it down for a bit, let me get some sleep.

Spec wearers, do you get P showing up where frame touches skin, particularly the sides of the nose?

Just read an article about the continuing research as to why the drug called thalidomide cause birth defect in babies in the fifties and sixties. Interesting cause professionally I worked with a victim and also, psoriasis is mentioned.

All the time I've had P, the colour of the plaques was, I guess a light brownish. I've just noticed the plaques on my arms have turned very very white now. Not sure why.

I mentioned a few days ago I was doing intermittent fasting for weight loss. I had a conversation last night where the person said they do it, but to help their IBS, another autoimmune condition. Anyone here have experience of that?

Inverse P gets mentioned occasionally. I see no sign of it on myself apart from possibly, the article quotes the ears. I have a lot behind my ears but none inside. Could that be inverse or just plain old plaque P?

Sounds almost a childish question this but, which is worst, plaque or guttae. I had plaque for years, guttae for just months. The guttae is driving me insane, the itching and way more pain and bleeding.
