Psoriasis arrived from dear Mother Nature as a menopause surprise. Five years on I’m a young grandmother who has to live in leggings to cover her flaky legs. Now on a mission to get my diet right with the knowledge that ‘You are what you eat’
Positive thoughts ...I’m up for that but life gets in the way. Take yesterday for example, I went to look after my grandchildren at their house. Grandson 3 years old a sensitive sole , we really connect but my granddaughter nearly 6 is a nightmare. She wants her way 24/7 it’s driving me mad and I was really ashamed of her behaviour yesterday in front of her friends mum. I left in tears when my daughter arrived home from work. I tried to explain to her but she said ‘ she’s just going through a phase’.Needless to say my P flared up that evening. I’m finding being a grandma doesn’t always go with grandchildren. Sorry to rant ..I feel better now.
I had a very interesting chat with my pharmacist this weekend. Unable to speak directly to either my doctor or dermatologist I thought I would pick his brains. I wanted to know why steroids can clear the skin then can come back but spreading further than before. He was unable to help me there but he did say ‘make sure you use gloves to put on steroid cream!’ I’ve never heard this before. Has anyone else?
I know exactly what you mean Sue, I struggle at times to do tasks around the house. To cap it all I have fallen out with my own daughter, she can’t understand why I can’t look after my grandchildren even though I’ve tried to tell her I have no energy....and here we go again on that merry go round called stress!!!
