Hi, I am 72 years young and have lived with psoriasis for over 65 years. That is what I remember. I have found a way to eliminate my patches, through diet. I am willing to share that if there is an audience!
Yes, Dhayalan, I am with John on this... One never really gets rid of psoriasis, however, we can change the severity of the disease. One has to realize that psoriasis is not only what we see on the outside. The inside is affected too. Just spoke with someone whose friend has psoriasis of the liver...People with psoriasis also may develop non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
There are numerous articles on what other organs may be affected. That is why I stay on my rigid diet.

It all depends on one's own comfort level with this illness. The more one knows about psoriasis, the easier it is to say: It is not contagious and I can stand firm on that. Maybe adaptable clothing helps with travelling.
I now after many years can say: "What someone else thinks of me, is their business!" That is very freeing!
I will not put anything in my body anymore! My vegan diet keeps me clean and that is a more natural approach. I have had psoriasis for 65 years for sure and have tried everything, all over the world.(we moved a lot)
So, I am not hesitating, I am strong in my commitment to diet! I do not smoke, do not drink alcohol. My body is clean inside and out!
Joanne, I had the same feeling 15 years ago, before my diet. It feels like a vice is clamping down and your whole brain tenses. It is an awful feeling. If I can help in any way, let me know in a private message. Just remember that it is not your fault, like so many people think, "You are too tense, too stressed etc." Those things are not the reason you have psoriasis. My advice to you is to be resolute and make the decision to change your diet!!! You may surprise yourself.
