Hi Dave, During the winter I lather my skin daily with creams that are natural and aloe vera based. Some people avoid eating certain foods but I’ve tried all that and it didn’t seem to affect my skin. In the summer it’s all about the sun. I sunbathe every chance I get and my skin gets ever so much better. Stress worsens so I try to keep that under control but with the current situation that’s quite difficult. Hope you stay healthy and your skin gets happier.
Hi Michelle... maybe try & stock up on E45 cream for England...I know I sent loads to my brother for his son who had terrible eczema & it helped... This will help with eliminating the dryness.. I am sure you cannot wait to leave ...anyway enjoy your last days in SA ...at least if you go in June it will be their summer months...………..
When I was suffering, I used to run my house a lot cooler than normally expected. I use a urea-based skin cream daily and then took vitamin D tablets. However, this was also when I was on regular UVB treatment so I was a lot 'warmer' having been in the light cabinets. Now, I'm able to go short sleeves thanks to the biologics but obviously have to be much more careful due to the suppressed immune system...
I do think that I am pretty safe. As I said I am quite rural so not much contact just to the store once a week or more. On the other side of the coin I am 76 and continue taking ilumya and med controlled high bp and cholesterol. I hope that all of you stay safe and that someday soon we will start seeing our new reality whatever that may look like.
