Psoriasis since Oct 2017. Learning fast! Also have Trigeminal and Occipital Neuralgia and severe nerve damage in my leg. Mostly bed bound and only leave the house for hospital appointments. My partner and my Son keep me going.
Hi Chris.. I also had to cut my hair with a very heavy heart. Still getting used to it although its been 4mnths already...but I will say my P has really subsided.. no more thick scales ... all I have is a thin film of white cradle cap just like a helmet.. Its also easier to wash & oil daily.. hopefully it will disappear soon.....
Since joining this group I am beginning to look at my P in a different light, being a man!, I don’t look at it in the same way as women. For instance if I need to purchase childrens moisturizer, soap etc, I feel quite embarressed. I am also, like a lot on this group, mortified if I have to “bare my skin” in public. I wouldn’t roll my sleeves up at one time. Reading some of the posts I think I am doing well with my P. also I think I have a good dermatologist, he listen what I say and he is always ready to give you something new to try. At the moment my P is quite calm, no plaques and very little itching and I do get quite stressed.
I read some of your posts and think you are great, selfless and very helpful. I am not religious but God bless you all.
It can be another obstacle in the world of dating, but I feel it is small in comparison to all of the other factors inclusive to the process. The person who will choose to love you will embrace it along with any other flaws we possess as people. They will look past what cannot be helped and look towards the good quailities you bring to the relationship. Know that you are a good person that deserves to be loved for who you are. If nothing else, it will weed out the shallow and small-minded and save you from wasting your time. Good luck.
Hey James. My go to for the shower is a (surprise surprise) Aveeno range one called Aveeno Body Wash. I find it soaps up better than the Aveeno Bath and Shower Oil, so I use that more as bath bubbles rather than shower gel. I also feel like I dry up when getting out of the shower so I use Aveeno Shower Mist for that. It is a spray that is great for large coverage. I started using it when my guttate coverage was massive and it was so difficult to get all the bits with regular cream. So I sprayed it up! And it even sprays upwards for the back and hard to reach bits. It isn't cheap but I buy it when it is on sale!
