I'm most happy when I'm plucking weeds in my gardens. I'm a sun worshiper. I've had psoriasis since I was born and usually it's mild unless stressed.
Hi Dave, During the winter I lather my skin daily with creams that are natural and aloe vera based. Some people avoid eating certain foods but I’ve tried all that and it didn’t seem to affect my skin. In the summer it’s all about the sun. I sunbathe every chance I get and my skin gets ever so much better. Stress worsens so I try to keep that under control but with the current situation that’s quite difficult. Hope you stay healthy and your skin gets happier.
Hi Michelle (& all Flaymers!),
I haven’t read anything to that effect yet. I think with the constant stress and worry that our skin will be unhappy but whether that translates into weakness towards the COVID-19 who knows. Keep up your spirits, stay home if you can and hopefully this nightmare that we’re all living will resolve itself.
Were you very stressed when you first got psoriasis Gary? Mine flares up when I’m stressed but I’m thankful it’s usually mild psoriasis. Better to have started at 45! I was a baby when I first got it, on my scalp, perhaps from the homemade baby formula I was given which consisted of powdered milk, water and corn syrup with a few vitamins thrown in.
It sounds as if you’re doing everything you can John. For sure some health problems just need time to heal. I too am taking turmeric with pepper, ginger, vitamin D3 in liquid, B12, calcium, ashwagandha, and sea kelp. I have no idea if it helps but I’m 61 and don’t take any prescription drugs which I understand is now a rarity so maybe all these supplements do help! Hope you feel better quickly!
Hi Gary, Although they say psoriasis is hereditary, I have never known anyone on either side of my family who have had it. Just lucky me! Be careful with the Dovobet. I used that for a few years and developed ostopaenia (the precursor to osteoporosis), only at the places I was applying the cream. For me the solution is the sun and during the winter light treatment helps. Good luck.
