Had psoriasis forever but weathered the ups and downs.Tomorrows a different story.
PS: I've now shared the above experience with most who have posted within the past month, because taking the blood test is easy. I wish I'd done that earlier, as it would have prevented the damage to my intestines which will take about a year to heal (due to my advanced age). Even so, I have begun healing and hope that some of you may identify celiac disease sooner rather than later - and heal as I've begun to. As all of my friends and family have noticed, I'm a new woman - lots of energy and many fewer symptoms. Praying the same for each of you!
I'm sorry to hear Rosey. Some of the drugs aren't good for us and the thing is we will try everything just to get rid of the P. It's not that easy and as soon as we see it's returning, the more we stress and the more we stress, the more P we get. We can't win but all we can do is try. I'm still using my tar cream. As you know, i've been using it for many many years, and apart from strong steroids (which I haven't used in centuries) the tar has done a great job for me. It's still helping the P not getting out of hand and I still try to not focus on my P the whole time. My ankles are looking good but it's getting winter now so I expect a few extra spots. I'll be called "spotty"when I walk down the isle lol. Poor John ;)
I do hope your arms gets better. I got 3 spots from when I returned from Dublin. Normally they go quick but they are still there. Not getting bigger or anything. Just sitting there...waiting...don't know for what, but I know that I have been eating crap a lot so my body is recovering now. I'm drinking my turmeric as well and my joint pain has been gone for 2 weeks, so I'm happy.
Hang in there Rosey, just don't panic about the P, get something for the itch and flakes and you'll be okay.
Have you noticed that when you don't itch and not flaking, the P gets better? to me it means that my body doesn't have that much inflammation in it which is why I drink my turmeric and eat my anti inflammatory foods. But again, we are not all the same.
Keep well Rosey and keep us posted about your P. Tell us when you try something new. :)
I think the app is an ongoing project which hopefully will get better over time. The notifications are a big one but there are other faults. If you’re in the middle of tapping in a comment and you get interrupted by an incoming call, you lose everything you’ve tapped in. Also, this is the only place I’ve had the “Hold on, you’re posting too fast” message. I also Fee they could do with either more choices at the end of a post. You know the, I’m feeling happy, sad etc bit, then what the message is about, treatment, blah blah. A few social chitchat categories would be good too.
Thank you James and Rosey :) Yes its been a year nearly ,seen each other twice now and keep tapping the keys lol,Well it was needed Rosey for us to have time not thinking about being worried what we eat etc , though i did think, oooh i dont eat that or this, okay give me some of that oh and a beer and vodka and coke while you are there lol. It was wonderful Thank you , James, Rosey, you both are good code breakers lol :)
James, might the stress of flying? or little sleep? Climate change?
Rosey, thank you :) We did have a fantastic time thank you and I loved being with him again. We did some sight seeing but I mostly loved seeing him *wink, wink* . I just love him to bits. I'm a lucky lady.
But anywayyyyyy, the weather was great and so was the pubs lol. It was awesome. Strange, the weather didn't affect my Psoriasis. I did itch a bit and was a bit inflamed but only because of the burgers and fries I had. Oh and the beer too. We did eat a lot of crap but we had some veggies too (I think). Thank you Rosey, it was an awesome trip, and if our plans work out, I'll be in England permanently from December. Wish us luck :) xx
