it's not known if my family history had it. Health professionals do say it can be genetic. But having family members know what you go through is somewhat of a blessing/ first hand experience and support, understanding from the get go. It took awhile for mine to understand psoriasis and was a learning curve for us all.

I grew up with mine so never knew any different the ones who do have it in my family was just very mild fee spots here and there where mine has always been severe head to toe when i was a child ๐ข

Im the only one in my family who has it, no family history of any one else ever having any skin conditions. X

Yup. They say it can skip a generation or two

I dont know which side of my parents it comes from i have it most sever thany any of 2 of my sister and my brother and other sister dont have it. A niece and nephew have it but others dont and now my oldest daughter has it hoping my 2 younger kids dont get it. Always said i hoped it skipped my kids never wanted them to suffer this
Cheryl @chez
I know my dad had it. I am the only one of the 4 kids to inherit it but my second daughter broke out when she was about 11 months old. I think one of my granddaughters may have it too ... I'm sorry girls :(
Claire @Jacko711
I got it bad, two brothers don't have it, one brother has it on elbows and knee and little sister gets it when stressed - but it goes away very quickly. It sucks being the only one in a family of five!

Hi Michelle, yea my mum has it but very mild, I'm afraid I wasn't so lucky have it since I was 10, very frustrating ๐
Cheryl @chez
Those stats do work in my case Victor. I have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren and it looks 2 of the 8 have inherited ps. My daughter that has it has 4 children and it is one of hers that may have it. Very interesting.
I feel for your sister.. she indeed was unfortunate to draw the short straw.

My youngest Dsughter of 34 has it on her legs in small patches. I feel guilty that I may have passed it to her ๐ข Horrible feeling.
