I am a 17 year old girl and very involved in sports and love being social, but being covered in psoriasis makes me very self conscious! Any tips from those who had psoriasis as teens?

Try to stay away from cortisone as much as you can
Don't use cimecal shower gel try to use natural soap

Hi Lucy. Check what you are eating. Lots of use diet to help stop flares.

hello lucy,it was a long time a go when I was a teenager ,at that time I just slapped cream on it ,some here like myself have changed lifestyle/diet,which does help and 2 litres of filtered or bottled water a day,life style changes were not proven and dismissed at that time when I was a teenager, i wish you well ,sorry you feel insecure .lifestyle changes are a choice a choice for everyone

I remember how I felt that age I hid my skin wouldn't do certain stuff cos hated anyone seeing my skin , I'm 54 now an still the same if it breaks out but as long as I take my injections every week it stays away , hope u feeling better soon Lucy xx

Try avoiding foods that can inflame the Psoriasis.

For example, stay away from Alcohol and Smoking.

Try not to eat so much spicy food, and eat more Fish!

If I could see my younger self now, I'd tell him not to stress about it...that doesn't help at all, your mental attitude is paramount now to set you up for the rest of your journey.

Do research on how to eat for psoriasis as at the end it's all about toxins in our food and environment stay clear of food that makes high about of sugar in your body and for breakfast eat oatmeal with apple 🍎 and cinnamon powder and start drinking turmeric as or taking as supplements and try ph balance drops and Liquid chlorophyll. I know it's a lot of work but you have to adapt to new lifestyle. I would recommend go vegan for 2-3 months and drink detox juice homemade twice I give the recipe : one apple, four medium 🥕 carrots, two big beetroot, four celery sticks , fennel as desired, 1-2 🍋 lemons ,ginger medium,spinach leaves 🍃 handful try this for two months it will remove all the toxins from your body trust me on that ✊🏼

Hey! I'm 13 so I don't know to much! But just try to forget about it! When I'm at school and it hurts or anywhere I always bring a little lotion so it's not to obvious! Obviously I'm not older and can't tell you from past experiences just thought that you could maybe use this someday!
