Treatment, coping, itch, looks

I've been put on a steroidal lotion and it's helping. But I'm so worried that when the symptoms subside and I go off of it, that the itching and flaking will return with a vengeance.

I use [...] which is a topical steroid medicine and if I constantly use it my psoriasis practically disappears. If I stop using it, it comes back a few days later. I'd suggest trying an intense moisturiser regularly once you've come off of the steroids to try and keep it at bay.

Hi Angie I was on steriodal creams and lotions for 47 yrs and as soon as I stopped I had a massive flare up all over my face and ears and some on the ankles the reason I got off was because my eye specialist told me don't use them again I have had a leak in the back of my eye and am know having a series of EYE injections to rectify my probs. So beware of steriods do some reseach.

Hi Mick,

My dermatologist has me on a regimen of using the steroidal spray for two weeks on then a week off in addition to the phototherapy. We'll see how it goes!

Hi Chelsea,

I've used my share of intense moisturizers for P and it doesn't really help me but thank you.

It always will but you need to find your trigger I kept a food diary if you manage your food intake and fluids you can in some cases manage your psoriasis I ate chia seed oil blended with butter it took about 4 wks to effect me and as many to leave my system.
