Coping, treatment

Hello. I’m new! Had psoriasis for 20 years & a diagnosis of PsA for the last 8 years. I can cope with plaques, pustular, guttate - The thing I really struggle with is inverse psoriasis - in the most embarrassing places! Any hints or tips? Thanks 🤗

hello moya, i changed my diet/lifestyle and dont have plaques any more ,more spots, psoriasis is from within and not from the skin, its what we psoriatics do that makes psoriasis of the skin happen, its toxins in foods that can make psoriasis worse, some changes in diet/lifestyle is better than none but, it is a choice a choice for everyone,i wish you well

Thanks to you both.
@John - what changes have you made, if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks 😊

I know what you mean Moya. I totally agree with John. He and I have a similar diet and lifestyle. For me it brought healing. Cut our sugar, bread, pasta, potatoes. Have very little fruit. Drink Moringa powder. Sugar for me is like poison. I now consider myself healed. I also did some therapy to discard the things from the past, practice my Faith, practice all the time positive self talk, meditate, walk, got rid of negative people in my life (in a nice way), I truly live in the moment and the day. If I get stressed about the future and there is nothing I can do about it I give it to God. He's bigger than me to handle things. My life is very good, active, and without any pharmaceuticals. Blessings to you.

Thank you, Susan. I’ve already cut sugar out but may struggle with potatoes and pasta. I’m willing to try anything, though! Thanks, again xx

hello moya, sorry i have just seen that you asked what i eat or generally whats ok and bad for us psoriatics, bad, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, alcahol, smoking, sugar sweetners, packets items, cartons, tins, jars, have preserves and stabalisers, not good for us,paprika, gluten wheat, yogurts unless dairy free ,standard pasta and bread, you can do gluten free pasta orbread, try not to over indulge in it though, that is a choice though .all dairy is bad including, eggs, cheeses, milk, sweets, cakes etc, limit salt, all sauces are bad including gravys, mayonaises ketchups, brown sauses ,dressings, pork, beef, processed meats, hams old meats, junk foods, fast foods, pizza, bologneses, currys, tap water unless filtered not staright from the tap, fried foods bake or boil foods, steamed is great, fizzy drinks are bad like coke even diet coke thes are all bad ,any spreads, anything with strange names preserves etc is bad all packet stuff is bad ,caffeine,

good foods, all veggies, no potatoes all else is fine, all salads no tomatoes or peppers, turmeric, garlic, ginger all fresh and herbs all fresh, virgin olive oil is great, olives, fresh fish, like mackarel or tuna, not shell fish, chicken, turkey lamb and venison is ok, idealto go vegan but these meats are better than pork ,beef or processed meats etc, soya milk is ok,drink 2 to 3 litres od bottled or filtered plain wayer a day not flavoured bottled water or squashes added they are bad for us ,remember , what maybe good for a clear skin, may not be good for us psoriatics, you can let your hair down a little now and again but, i dont overdo it just an occasional treat, we are all different but, my list is the general whats good and bad,you may find out intime what your triggers are. my advice is to gradually cut things out over say a few months and that was easier for me, i didin 2 months, sugar was the hardest as i went cold turkey, thats not good, cut down gradually, i think i have got it all here, the rest is a choice moya, i wish you well thank you :)

I don't know if you can get this production the UK but probably online anyway. I use MooGoo psoriasis and eczema cream on the inverse stuff. I get it in all the uncomfortable places and while it doesn't cure it,the MooGoo really takes the itch out very quickly and soothes it really well, it's also really gentle and natural so it's perfect for sensitive areas
