Secrets, itch, coping

Any good remedies for the night itch? My P has calmed down drastically but I'm still kept awake/woken up at night by the neverending itch, any tips?

I use a small amount of antihistamines at bed time. Diphenhydramine, generic for benadryl also has a drowsy element. I've found that if I use some regularly, it doesn't knock me out so hard, so I even use it during the day for itch relief. 25mg pills are available on the cheap. My last bottle was 600 of them and only cost me about $9 (USD).

Haydn... Suggestion from me is a nightly soak in oil in the bath. Lots of suggestions from many here on the site for that nasty itch.

My night itching is very much temperature related, the cooler I can be the less itching.

Hi Haydn, do you drink enough water during the day, do you moisturise a few times daily?...helps a lot.

Thanks for the replies! I shall give your suggestions a go and try and figure out what's causing such a bad itch at night, thanks again!

Try some anti histamines as you may be reacting in the night.

Hi Haydn! My mom purchased a somewhat expensive humidifier that I keep on through the night. Over the last 2 weeks my skin has been getting a whole lot better, but I do not want to attribute my improvement solely on the humidifier since I have been doing other things to take care of myself. I strongly suggest investing in a humidifier, setting it near your bed, closing your bedroom door and windows, and leaving it on through the night and I am sure it will help reduce the itchiness!
