Itch, coping, treatment
Thanks for letting me join. I have it in my ears and am very self conscious about people seeing the flakes in my ears.

Moisturising regularly should help a lot. A lot of members recommend Aveno. Oh, and the next time you're out, think how much you look into other people's ears. Not much I'm guessing, about the same as people look in yours.

Hi Bev, welcome to Flaym! I've had psoriasis in my ears for 21 years, it first appeared there all those years ago, the very first psoriasis site on my body! Right through my life I've been conscious of the flakes in my ear, and even wouldn't let my husband go near my ears at all without wincing 😣 In the last 2 years I've had a real breakthrough with using a corticosteroid gel which thinned the flaking right down and I only used it about 2 weeks. It has never returned and now I just use Aveeno Cream to moisturise it as maintenance. Check out the themes section for posts on psoriasis in the ears

Bev welcome to the site. You are going to love it here. So many great suggestions from diet/lifestyle/biologics/creams/stress relievers... Just tons. Plus lots of laughs too... We have a resident comedian, john... He'll bring a smile as will many others. We are a site of hope and joy.

Welcome! I have my psoriasis everywhere! However when I first noticed my psoriasis it was in my ear badly! I find the best thing is to use a cotton bud to get the cream in all the areas! Repeat 4/5 times a day! I hope it helps x

I have been moisturising more often as someone in this group recommended. I'm already finding my ears are not as flaky already

I have had psoriasis now for 37 years, but it has been only the last two years that I have had psoriasis of the ears. It is only in my right ear - on the auricle and somewhat in my ear canal. I try to swab the outer ear with baby oil daily but you have to keep on it. If I missed a day it crusts right back up. I especially hate winter for the itching is always worse than.

So I'm just in the middle of another vertigo attack. Although yesterday I had to hold onto walls or furniture to walk anywhere. Today I'm walking fine so the tabs for inner ear problem are working
