Treatment

I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have been on a biologic since diagnosis 10 years ago. Is there ever any hope of complete remission? I am on a 6 week dosing schedule, and my rheumie has mentioned the possibility of going to a 4 wk sched

Hi Beth. I have both as well, but....my plaque Psoriasis has been clear for 4-5 years now. I changed all my products. Skin and hair care, cosmetics Nd even my household cleaning products. I only use all natural/organic non toxic products that cant be bought in a store. (Nothing from the Honest co. That Jessica alba started). Feel free to look me up on fb if you are interested. Just send me a private message and I’ll get back to you. I am still on biological for the psoriatic arthritis but my skin has been awesome. Been fighting this nasty disease for over 21 years.

If you have not tried turmeric, ginger, and pineapple in a probiotic drink, I would suggest giving it a try. I make it myself and my psoriasis is in remission. It's almost all gone except for a bit on one knee. I suspect it will be totally gone shortly. And right now as I write this, I am enjoying a refreshing pineapple, ginger, turmeric homemade kombucha soda.

It's best to make it yourself. Th easiest way is to start with water kefir. You can find grains for sale on line.

Hi Beth, I think people do sometimes consider themselves in remission or even healed from psoriasis and PsA. People report long periods of calm with long term approaches such as diet changes and reducing stress levels. For many (including me!) this is the holy grail! Welcome to Flaym.

Hi Everyone,

I'm prompted to write a response to this post. My psoriatic arthropathy kicked in yesterday and it's the worst it's ever been. I've been totally incapacitated and the pain when I move is excruciating. I get it mostly in my left hip. Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out to everyone, I always read the posts and though I've never responded to any of them I appreciate the tips and support.

I have had psoriasis since I was 21 and I am now 63. I am clear of skin lesions for 7 years now. I probably have beginning psoriatic arthritis but have not been diagnosed yet. I started taking Vit D3 5000 IU and Vit B12 5000 mcg around 7 years ago. Doctors do not know why I no longer have lesions or if this dosage is responsible for the clearance. I am just grateful that I am in remission at this time. I can only hope that it stays away for good!
