...feeling happy Michelle @mishlyn

Looks, diet

My skin is calm & healing more everyday. My arms & legs are almost clear with just small light pink areas remaining. 6 weeks ago my skin was a mess, raw, so sore it brought tears to my eyes. Dietary changes & supplements are working amazing for me!

What kind of supplements are working for you? Also are you on a specific diet or just cutting out specific foods that are triggers for you? I am looking to change my diet and try supplements and maybe a probiotic. Suggestions always help.

Susan
Susan @godcares

Miki a bunch of us are doing an elimination diet that I can send you if you like. Just message me. The only supplement I take is Moringa, plus fish omega.

Michelle
Michelle @mishlyn

Hi Miki, the supplements I am taking are, Omega 3 with high epa (I spoke with a naturopath who said that paired with a probiotic are the best things we can take for psoriasis)
Also am on a probiotic and Moringa. The combination of all 3 are helping greatly.
As for diet, I am currently doing Susans Cleanse that she shared. We can get you a copy if you would like. Today is the last day of the first week. For the past 4 months I have taken out dairy, gluten, nightshades, sugar, beef & anything processed. Its challanging at first but our bodies grow accustomed and once you stop eating those foods..the cravings go away as well. I ate what I wanted to over the holidays and haven't had a reaction from it :) an elimination diet would be benifical so you can find your biggest triggers. *The whole 30* approach was what I did the first time I did an elimination diet. Give it a google, lots of great info and recipies! I can also forward you the one a bunch of us on here are doing :)

Thats great! What supplements are you taking, Michelle?

Great news Michelle! Do you think its more the diet than the supps?

Michelle
Michelle @mishlyn

Hi Ingrid, I have been taking Moringa--thanks to Susan's Love and advocacy for it 😊 Give it a google--its quite amazing! I also have been taking Omega 3 with high epa. 1500mg of epa and 500mg of dha per teaspoon. As well as a probiotic :)

Michelle
Michelle @mishlyn

Hey Redspot-- I think it is a combo of all. I really feel the omega 3 has played a huge part. My skin that is clearing does not have any scarring or discoloration..which has never happened for me before. The Moringa has so many healing properties as well. Its been life changing for me. I think P is much like a puzzle, and finding out which pieces fit better for us :)

Cool, do you know where to get Moringa? Do they sell it at a Bulk Barn or do you have to go to a specialty health foods store?

Michelle
Michelle @mishlyn

Thanks so much everyone! Yes Sarah, I am quite amazed, so is my family 😊 I have never bounced back so quickly.

RedSpot, a health food store is best. You want to make sure its organic and raw with no fillers. It can also be purchased online. I get mine online from salome naturals and am quite pleased with it. Its reasonable and seemes to be a good source.

Wendy
Wendy @wendy1031

Hi Michelle great news that that your psoriasis is clearing up can I ask what diet you are doing and what supplements you are taking and would it be suitable for my 11 yr old grandson who has it everywhere

Michelle
Michelle @mishlyn

Hi Wendy, the omega 3 and probiotics can be found at a local health food store. They do make these products for children. Moringa can also be found there. For diet, I am currently doing a cleanse but have cut out dairy, gluten, nighshades, sugar, beef and anything processed. It may be difficult at first maybe he can try eliminating things slowly and see how his skin reacts. Best of Luck!

Susan
Susan @godcares

Red Spot you can find Moringa usually in health food stores. It can come as a tea or capsule as well but they are mostly filler. Pure Moringa tastes like pants, according to john. LOL. I became a distributor for a company so that I could get it wholesale. Cheaper that way, plus ends up being a residual income which is not why I joined. Mine tastes like mango and is dried in the shade keeping all the nutrients in tact. Some companies dry it in the sun which isn't great for the quality. I was given some Moringa seeds that are germinating right now. I plan to grow a small plant. Because it's BC Canada I doubt that I can grow a tree due to our climate. Anyone interested in my stuff, just message me. Moringa and Omega are the only vitamins I have in my house now. I think I spend less than when I had all kinds of vitamins here.

Bev
Bev @bev43

I'm going to check at my health shop if we have Morning's here in South Africa. If not do you ship yours out Susan@godcares?

Michelle
Michelle @mishlyn

The moringa I get is organic, raw and powder form. it also does taste like pants..lol. Although I have tasted worse and I have grown accustomed to it, lol

Bev
Bev @bev43

@Miki, for me Omega3, curcumin, magnesium and Vitamine B + D.
I started a combination of Vitamine D and Curcumin a few weeks ago, and that seems to help a lot.

Susan
Susan @godcares

Bev I just sent you a message. Not all Moringa is the same quality and mine tastes good, not like "pants". LOL

Hi Michelle, please share what dietery changes you've made, would appreciate it

Shawn
Shawn @EatOrganic

When I tell people my psoriasis has improved 90% and my psoriatic joint pain is completely gone and all I did was change my diet and take supplements - they are immediately interested HOWEVER when I tell them what I eliminated they say - I could never give those things up - and I always reply - you could if they were adversely affecting your health!!!!

Carolyn
Carolyn @carolyn947

Ok sorry...you have answered the question of dietery change!

Susan
Susan @godcares

Shawn I'm in total agreement. Heck, who doesn't like poutine, gravy, toast with eggs and cheese, a good burger, potatoe chips, grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, waffles and syrup, whipped cream, ice cream, yogurt cones, a good beer, a good wine... The list is endless. When you feel great without them, then the benefits are too great to go back. I can have any of these things now if I choose, which is rare. Gotta get to the root problem which tends to be our food, relaxation, stress free environment... Lots of things. But it can be done.

Sarah
Sarah @sarahuk

Shawn, what supplements do you take? Remind me...

Shawn
Shawn @EatOrganic

Well I’m a vegan so some of the supplement are for my diet and the others are for psoriasis - a good multivitamin - a good probiotic, a good omega 3, (I say “good” because they aren’t all created equally) - 7000 units of vitamin D3 - magnesium, calcium, potassium, biotin, liquid B complex and I also get weekly B12 shots (I love B12) - 1160 mg of turmeric curcumin with bioprine - 1 tbsp of Organic Apple Cider vinegar in my morning ice water - I only eat organic food and eliminated all dairy, refined sugar, (only have limited amounts of fruit as it’s still sugar), alcohol, wheat/gluten, gmo’s, nightshade plants (peppers, tomatoes, eggplant) and lastly I eliminated as many chemicals as possible (Roundup, hormones, preservatives, additives, artificial colorings and flavorings) - I only drink water (and lots of it) and hot green tea with moringa (Susan 😁) - the bottom line is stop eating chemicals, reduce inflammation by healing your gut and eating organic and take supplements!!! Who wouldn’t be thrilled with a 90% improvement! (I’m sure I could slowly add back some of the items I eliminated to see if they caused a flare up but I’m 10 months in and I don’t miss anything I’ve eliminated - I mean I miss having Doritos and Powerade for breakfast but I don’t miss joint pain, fatigue, inflamed eyelids and lashlines and cracked bleeding feet and hands. (Plus I’ve lost 67 lbs!) —- My advice to others is do not feel as though you have to make lots of changes today... change one thing this week then next week make 1 more change - read read read and then read some more - learn everything you can about gut health, inflammation and diet regarding psoriasis - good luck everyone!!! Here’s to great health in 2018!

Susan
Susan @godcares

Shawn one thing that john always says it "it's a choice"... Might be tough at first but eventually you really don't miss it or the pain. Jeez, hardly anyone when I was growing up had autoimmune issues. I had many. Maybe I was predisposed. Who knows? I didn't really eat differently than other's. We grew up rather poor with dairy, lots of cheese, lots of white home made bread, lots of fresh fruit on our acreage. Lots of sugar treats too. Not sure why I was hit so hard as I was a very active, and still am, girl/woman... I raised my kids differently than most mom's I know for which I am grateful. The only real difference with your diet and mine is that I can eat all vegetables and protein, eggs without any issues and the only vitamin I take is Moringa. Healthy living is key to abundant living in my mind.
