I have suffered with psoriasis for 45 years & it is the bane of my life, the only time I didn’t have any was when I lived in uk & used tanning salons
Now I actually live in Greece (I thought with the sun the sea etc I would be finally “free” h aha think again Julie!!!
In the summer you are working 7 days a week so you actually don’t get time to enjoy the glorious weather so I’m back to square one
I have so many ear infections as I am permanently sticking things in my ears to relieve the “itch” 😫
Now I have it all over my face, in my eyebrows, and dare I mention inside my backside 😡
I have been to the doctors here many many times but they just offer cortisone injections which I had once & never again!!!! Made it considerably worse
Tried coconut oil, olive oil, olive oil based body butter & am now just about to start trying aloe Vera gel
So sorry about the very long post but if anyone has any other ideas of something I can use please feel free to spam me with ideas
Hope everyone has a great day

Hello julie, have you tried changing your diet/lifestyle changes, it can help to a degree, mine isnt bad at all, my joints are much better and nails on my fingers look good, diet/lifestyle changes is a choice though a choice for everyone, i wish you well
06 Feb 08:26
i get it genital psoriasis have had it there all my life, very hard to shift,i know no different without it, only thing that ever helped it was steroids though these are bad and dont use too often

Welcome to Flaym, Aaron. Such a difficult area to treat, and very demoralising. Have you been to see a derm or GP recently to see what options are available to you? There may well be things you haven't tried yet that might make a big difference. I have found vitamin d analogue cream to be very effective for localised psoriasis patches. Cleared some of mine right up after a couple of weeks of using, and it is non steroidal so wouldn't thin the skin. Maybe ask you GP if that is advisable for you to try?
06 Feb 13:21
Thank you sarah I can never get an appointment at my gp have not been dermatology in 5 years the gp just gives repeat prescription for [...] and steriod creams I told him its messing with my head he just gives more creams that dont work

Hi Aaron and welcome to Flaym! I have never had genital P but should I get it someday (I pray I don't) I would change my whole outdoor setting as "my nudist resort". Reason: I know someone whom had it really bad on his genitals but since he started to let his P breath and getting a bit of sun the patches got smaller. No flakes, nothing. He also used vitamin D analogue cream (as per Sarah). You will find the Flaymers on Flaym will help and give advice as much as you need it.
06 Feb 14:42
Thank you Michelle I hope I can get it gone with all the advice from others
06 Feb 15:08
Good Luck Aaron, I hope relief is on its way to you! Welcome to Flaym!
06 Feb 15:11
Thank you Michelle I hope it is

Julie only thing I can say is to start from the inside out. What you/we take into our bodies tends to show up on our skin/joints.... I have an elimination diet I can send you if you private message me. I consider myself healed from ALL my autoimmune dis-eases by starting with food first. I did other things along the way, but that's how I began this journey. Blessings to you.
06 Feb 15:59
Michelle you and I would get along great. I'm with you on the sun. If I got it in that area as well I'd become a nudist... Oh heck, what am I saying? I already go to the nude beach when I can. LOL.
06 Feb 17:48
hmmmm, i have to look into vitamin D cream thank you :)
06 Feb 20:54
Yea my gp tested me for diabetes when I first was diagnosed with psoriasis luckily I was ok
07 Feb 05:34
Hahahahahah oh my Susan! and here I thought you are this innocent little wise lady? lol. Just kidding. I know you are a wise lady. But I do understand that some countries do not have sun 365 days a year like SA so it is easy to say "get some sun". Even if you do't get sun, walk naked/half naked around your house, spread those legs and let your P breath and don't over moisturize. It works for my P on my ankles.
07 Feb 18:26
The emotional impact of psoriasis has impacted me more than the physical and it f!cking sucks. I’m sorry, Aaron.
07 Feb 18:30
Sorry abe, its one of the bad places to get it, steroids only thing that has ever got me out of trouble when it comes to my man bits ,rather have it added to my body than there, what can i do? i will look into vitamin D cream as some say that helps , i use steroids sparingly and not too often there
07 Feb 22:11
Michelle you are funny. If you knew me, and as you get to know me on this page, you will see I am a rather goofy girl and definitely a FREE Spirit! LOL. I agree. If it's on your P then walk around naked, give it some air, moisturize and let it all hang out. :)
08 Feb 06:34
lol Susan. I've notice how goofy you can be. I love it. I'm also a free spirit and goofy sometimes and its awesome. Being spontaneous and letting things go without blinking an eye (maybe shed a tear afterwards) has also helped me to accept my P in many ways. Great advice from you, we need to let it all hang out (starting Friday (with a glass of wine *giggles*))
08 Feb 07:26
If i had a lot of privacy, i would go naked in the sun, spread out like a star fish on the ground and get those genital flakes some air and sun when its warm.i dont have the guts for that though, being goofy is great susan,i love your positivity and you too michelle, a glass of wine michelle :) ,bottoms up as the upper class say in the uk :)
08 Feb 07:38
lol. star fish. Visit SA John and get some sun. We do have nudist resorts (decent one's). you have your own privacy and no one can see you spreading out like a star fish.
Oh and I love the bottoms up of course :)
08 Feb 08:50
haha, what a site, me a twig in my figure now spread out like a star fish ,i do feel the cold now since i lost weight , my bones rattle in the frost, i hope to win the lottery then i will leave the uk michelle,i cant stand the cold :)
08 Feb 09:50
John, I wanted to move to the UK, still do actually but it's so difficult to find a sponsor your side. I love the old buildings in England and I do like the weather but I guess once I live there and don't see the sun for a couple of days, I might get depressed! We are so used having sun each and every day. The heat gets to me sometimes and I love the rain. Don't leave the UK. When you win the lottery buy a house somewhere where you can go on holiday. Well, buy a house in every country then! lol. The cold won't be good for my P, but I will take a chance with that if I live in the UK. If you guys can survive, so can I. :)
08 Feb 13:51
Michelle and john it's early here in BC Canada and you both brought a smile to my face. Starfish? That's hilarious. When my "guy" friend comes to visit next I might be indulging in a glass of wine too Michelle. I could drink wine everyday, but just don't. I'm a lightweight with alcohol and I can feel the effects of even 1 glass the next day. I like to be spontaneous and bubbly so I tend not to indulge.
09 Feb 11:40
Well Susan, I try not to indulge and I'm getting quite good at that lol. Practice makes perfect :) but My wine nights are Fridays as you know and I will watch a movie while having a glass of wine. I have given up so much because of my P that I refuse to give up my Merlot. I need some fun too :) But it's nice having a glass of wine with someone special.

I have had psoriasis in some sensitive areas and for no particular reason it just went away.
Just try to keep clean and moisturize.
07 Jul 17:36
Moisture with what. Mine is red and itchy
08 Jul 07:03
Hi Joy. I do not have genital P but I would say use a non scented moisturizer. Something that is not oily as your P needs to breath. Don't wear tight fitting clothes or denims/pants, try flowey skirts or dresses instead. We need fresh air down there as well. Good luck Joy :)
