If you feel good Rachael about this way of treatment then that's good. I always say that do what you have to for some control, but I absolutely think treatment starts from the inside out.

Rachael @rachael21

Yes I'm starting to take vitamin D, curcumin and omega 3 but I'm just so glad to be on track to getting it under control!

Good Luck Rachael
It always makes you feel better when you have a plan in place

Hey Rachael! That is so great! Some relief for you I hope. Maybe this could help you get it under control in the short term, and whilst it is calm hopefully you can get yourself a longer term plan. Lots of people say how light treatment is good whilst you're on it, I hope this is true for you too! But many also say that once it stops, the p comes back... so maybe get a plan in place for once your treatment stops to get on top of it ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Just a thought. Have you ever tried vitamin d analogue for your guttate? I had 80% coverage of guttate back in March last year and after a couple of months of letting it sit there, I did 2 weeks of using vitamin d analogue and it cleared it right up apart from one stubborn patch on my bum cheek. If you haven't tried it perhaps you could discuss with your derm. I don't know if it'd be compatible with light therapy though...but your derm would sure be able to tell you!

Yes I've heard the same Sarah, but that exactly my plan, get it under control and find a longer term solution! I've been looking into taking vitamin D supplements but I'll definitely look into and speak to the derm about vitamin D analogue, I've been armed with a whole host of new knowledge since joining here and can't wait to find something that works for me ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

That'll be amazing for you Rachael. Yes, I've tried loads of creams for plaque p over 21 years of it, and got guttate last year for the first time. For maybe 3 months nothing would touch it at all. No cream from my giant array of creams would make any difference at all. But then after 2 trips to a private derm who wanted to put me on immunosurpressant tablets, I returned to my bog standard GP who looked through my notes and said "you've never had a vitamin d analogue before, have you?" I said no, and the rest is history. Within 2 weeks the guttate was gone. Couldn't believe it, still can't. The plaque is now my project!
