Looks, coping, treatment

Question for all my knowledgeable Flaym friends. I am having a flare on my hands and feet. My hands burn, what can I do to relieve the burning feeling?

Have you tried aloe Vera? Hope you feel better.

Hi Diane, I agree Aloe provides a cooling healing effect. Also keeping my creams in the fridge during flare ups is really helpful and soothing for me. I hope you are feeling better soon!

Diane I'm a big believer of aloe vera gel. I use it in my everyday life on my face for sure just as my moisturizer. Not sure it will help. I know years ago I even tried Calamine Lotion on my legs for that similar feeling. Honestly, it's been so long that I can't really remember what happened. Might be something to check out. Maybe apple cider vinegar. I see that on Flaym all the time.
Hope you find relief soon.

The burn... Refrigerating creams is very soothing as Michelle says. Using cool water is amazing. Also, if you soak a flannel in water and put it in the freezer, once it is frozen you can put it on top of the sore bits and defrost it on your skin (as it defrosts it wraps around the body). If you leave one corner of the flannel dry you can hold that as it doesnt get so cold. You can also put lemon or lime in the water you soak the flannel in to make it refreshing if it is for places like the face. I guess not so much for hands and feet!

One of my hands is worse than the other and looks like it has aged 50 years! It is red, peeling and even more wrinkly than is expected of a person of my advanced age!! Quite unattractive to look at.

Diane someone posted on here about rubbing lemon on. Sorry, but I can't remember who. Apparently it stings but works after it stops stinging.

I have still been using the lemon as well Susan and Diane. Not everyday but throughout the week. Maybe pick a small spot to start with and see how it goes. I was amazed when I googled it and saw how many people had amazing results from it!

After 12 years of suffering flare ups, I started taking 2000 mg of vitamin d and a probiotic daily, clear legs!
