...feeling excited Sarah @sarahuk

100 days gluten free and dairy free today! 🍽️ My psoriasis is the smallest and calmest it has ever been. Still some small stubborn patches, my oldest p friends... Gone from 80% coverage to maybe 15% in one year. Wahoo! Now for the rest of it... 🀘

Congratulations Sarah, good to see all that hard work paying off!πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Rita @rita

That’s amazing Sarah! I’m happy for you.

I too have removed gluten and dairy from my diet. Over a year ago, I completely removed both and barely have any psoriasis at all (except for scalp which is stubbornly resisting all my attempts to eliminate it!). Recently I have been less strict with the gluten. I don’t eat it often but I don’t freak out if I do. Of course we psoriasis sufferers make so many other changes in our lives so it’s difficult to know what exactly helped us. Was it this or that, or a combination of changes?!

Bev @bev43

Great stuff Sarah! so proud I feel you.

πŸŽ€πŸŒ» congratulations πŸŒ»πŸŽ€ wow 100 days !! that's amazing hard work !! brilliant to hear for us newbies !!

Sarah @sarahuk

Thank you Flaym lovelies! It has been a big experiment for me, and the experiment continues! For the last 70 of those 100 days I have been following the autoimmune protocol on top of being dairy free and gluten free, so some of the changes I've seen may also be related to being legume and grain free too Tom... I was already nightshade free (that has been about 8 months or so now too). I have been medication free for almost a year now. Wow Rita, that's ace! Scalp psoriasis is just so persistent... I'm sure we will win the battle eventually! We got to start somewhere Catherine, got to get that inflammation down and it really isn't an overnight process so I've kept plugging away. Every week I plan my shopping for the week ahead and that's one more week on the chalkboard. Shop, eat, repeat...πŸ˜„

James @ferns

I thought it was because this site is run by a brand and they wouldn't want you "advertising" a rival, which I suppose is fair enough.

Mavis @mavis

That's fantastic news πŸ‘

Julie @jul2

Thats brilliant Sarah. I hope you find something that helps you control those stubborn patches soon. Have you tried porridge oat baths and making a cup of oats filled with warm water mixin leave for minute or so tjen scoop it bit at a time and rub it into your skin. Its natural, cheap. And has good affects on some people. Doesnt suit everyone x

Sarah @sarahuk

Thank you Julie, I love oatmeal! I use the Aveeno moisturiser range purely because the oatmeal suits my skin so much, as does oatmeal bathing. Appreciate the recommendation as I might not have already heard of it!

Janice @Immy

Well done Sarah! You are doing brilliantly, long may it continue.

Susan @godcares

Good job Sarah. Slow and steady wins the race. I'm VERY proud of you!

rachel @wynnegee

That's really promising. I went on a retreat in January run by Hanna Sillitoe who cleared her skin four years ago with diet and lifestyle changes. Have been on the programme since then. Its slow progress but I'm sure there IS some progress. It helps to hear from others who are healing naturally.

Sarah @sarahuk

Thank you Susan and John, ah wow rachel, I didn't know such retreats exist! Fantastic! I have heard of Hanna Sillitoe. I had her book out of the library at one time.

rachel @wynnegee

She started last year, it was good to meet people on the same journey. She has a couple of websites with loads of info and recipes.
