Anyone have bruising on your toe nails? I took off my toe nail polish and noticed that one of my nails is bruised under the skin. I change the type of shoes I wear everyday. It is not lifting. Have not had any problems with this in the past. ideas?

I have had the same before agb. Is your toe nail thick, tender, & sore as well? Mine was. What I found helpful was filing it down really good with a metal nail filer. I think the thickness of my toenail rubbing on shoes caused the bruising.

Hey agb, I don't have bruising but my nails do get pitted now and again, and also kind of get "kinks" part way down the nail...

@Michelle It is tender and sore. I will check the thickness.
Thanks for the info.

@Sarah -my big toe nails are pitted also. I try to keep oil on them and filed down but nothing changes the way they look. Any products that will help change their appearance?
For now I file them down and paint them. :o)

You can buy special nail oils. I haven' done it because they are so expensive. At times I have clipped my nails and rubbed some grapeseed oil into them which I use on my scalp, mainly just to feel that I am doing something about it!
