...feeling hopeful Diane @froghop26

I read some articles on an anti inflammatory diet. I decided to give it a try to relieve some crippling foot and hand pain from p arthritis. It is a little over a week and I can notice the difference in my feet in particular.

Hey Diane, Sarah is following the elimination diet and has great results as well. If I would have it more I'd give that a try as well. Guess a lot of us are now quite sure that our gut is the way to heal...

Diane @froghop26

Certainly is. There are more and more medical journals with articles about the effects of a healthy gut. I have stomach and digestive issues anyway so eating healthy is a way of life not a fad for me.

Yes, it was the first thing i noticed when i started to change my diet over a year ago,the inflammation in the joints subsided in a short time :),my nails improved too within months, thats good news Diane :)

IDA @ida1

What types of food are you eating. I stopped eating some carbs and it helped very little.

Diane @froghop26

I have been gluten and dairy free for over 20 years due to another health condition. I have cut out all nightshade vegetables, the only carbs I have are brown rice or rice noodles. I have increased the amount of vegetables I can eat. I eat chicken and fish but no other meat. I make my own sauces, using allowed herbs and spices for flavouring. Feeling a little lighter as well as in less pain.

Diane have you ever tried a hot wax bath for any arthritis? Someone suggested that to me two days ago.

I've just started on anti inflammatory diet and following the elimination as best I can . Done my 1st week with kefir and I feel great less pain from PA 😊 no bloating or heaviness

That is really great Diane! I love that you are feeling relief after a week. Were you a big meat eater before? I wonder if that could be the main culprit?

Roxanne @roxanne

Where can I get that information Diane?

Sarah @sarahuk

That's really great for you Diane! So weird how these kind of changes can make a real difference. I'm still figuring mine out but I know for a fact something is helping!

IDA @ida1

I gave up smoked meats, hot dogs, sausages and also potatoes, Broccoli and milk has helped very little. will try the elimination diet am so happy your feeling better.

Diane @froghop26

I have never been a huge meat eater, so it was no drama to give it up altogether. All I did was google anti inflammatory diet and read a lot of different articles. I found a fairly comprehensive list of acceptable foods to eat.

IDA @ida1

thanks will start to look for anti inflammatory diets..need something ASAP.

That's great Diane!
