john you have really stuck with it and I'm proud of you. A year has been and gone so why not give it a go. Healthy living is not just great for psoriasis but great for the brain and the entire body. Good for you! Besides, if we take things into perspective, we could have it waaaay worse. That's my thought anyway. Skin is skin, our hearts are more important. Those joint pains are a bother though and all I can say is that working from the inside is what I did to get rid of that stupid pain.

Good for you John! For myself, doing the same has been really helpful. My mind was consumed as well for many years. I try to let Love be the only emotion I give to my skin. Not always easy, especially during flares but gets easier with practice..may sound soppy..lol.. but not hating so much on my skin has made such a difference in my overall quality of Life.

Thank you susan,,michelle, :)

Same John. Have started the healthy lifestyle but been obsessed with looking at my skin. Strangely my scalp has cleared quite well which is the only place I don't look at. Rest of body much the same. Have you seen good results in the last year?

Hello rachel, i been looking at my skin for a year now, summer was a mixture of good and bad as i put myself through steroid withdrawl, i was a very flakey face :) doing diet changes at the same time aswell as giving up the cigarettes, i lost a lot of weight bonus, my arthritis is a million times better :) finger nails gone normal ,got over steroid withdrawl after a few months , skin less flakey though winter i cant beat it,cold affects me,been ups and downs last year and had positive results so , its good thank you :)

Sounds like loads of positives John, that's great. Hope the summer helps to clear up the rest. You've done an amazing job giving up cigarettes at the same time. 🤗

well done john. 👍

Thank you rachel and natalie :)

What an achievement, you deserve a well earned break from watching your spots! And you know they say a watched pot never boils. So could be a great thing! I would love to take a leaf from your book. In fact I think I've been more "meh" about mine in the past few days, not watching so much and moisturising less just for a bit of a break from thinking about it.

Thanks Sarah, i just had enough of spot watch,i know i cant beat it in the winter no matter what i do,it seems its more the enviroment so summer as usual will be better than winter, i have never had a huge improvement with skin but ,i have had improvements with joints, nails, a few less flakes, i do prefer to eat healthy now anyway most of the time and thats a good thing, i am set this way and have been for a year, its all good Sarah thank you :)

well in mind i dont get psoriasis bad like some, i do get it anywhere though , i know of my friend who just gets it on elbows and knees that i have seen, not on his face/scalp or down below and lives life normally, eats anythings drinks like a fish no problem, he gets a 3mm scab and thinks hes having a break out, dont know what he thinks with me?,Diet/lifestyle changes will show more improvement on the skin if someones got it bad i think if they are covered in it :)
16 Apr 07:38
I think it depends on where you have it aswell.
16 Apr 08:45
Mine isn't fussy pops up all over , started playing the eyelids game last night after months of not being there
16 Apr 09:16
@Chris: that sucks big time! Hope it goes quickly.
16 Apr 09:24
Have learned not to stress about it as much a part of me as an arm or leg , acceptance helped me loads with P

good for you chris x

You know what John. I have done that. Left the 'spot watch' because it made me depressed whenever I saw a new spot and next day I had an extra one! I moisturize my ankles every night and morning and that's where it stays. Should I have an itch somewhere, I will check but otherwise, I don't do a spot check on my body anymore.
16 Apr 16:39
Yes Michelle, it can become an obsession which is not good as you say, can make one be bothered and depressed about it, its good not to do this, i have given up the obsession now ,think its great :)
