How do you treat it? I feel I've tried every cure and although it might clear up a bit, it keeps coming back, cannot use conditioner as it seems to trigger it off. Also hairspray.

Never feel alone. I have had bad scalp psoriasis all my life. Some days are better than others.

Hi Sheila, Tgel extra strength works really well for me. I also use a tea tree oil based shampoo inbetween flares. I hope you can find some relief soon! Great to see you back 😊

Perhaps try an oil soak overnight. It helps to soften and lift plaques. Use coconut oil, olive oil or any natural oils.

Does hairspray trigger it? What are everyone's opinions......

Did you check out the themes section for scalp psoriasis Sheila? It is full of people's tips and experiences here at Flaym. Yep hairspray is a no no for me except on a very windy very special occasion when I might still wear it... Otherwise I avoid like the plague. And no mousse or anything either. Mind you I am low maintenance! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Yes stress don't help Patti, they say calm works, but how can you when it annoys you so much, I have just tried the lemon and it works, I was shocked ,just used gif lemon with some Vaseline ,trust me it works x

I will definitely try it. Do you know if lime works? I have a lime tree is why I ask!

Sarah
Sarah @sarahuk

No idea if lime makes a difference!

Jen
Jen @jen1984

Yeah I think lime would work as well but need to check it to be sure.

Hello sorry to bother you but I have something that is natural and effective that may help you tremendously!!

CC
CC @cc3

My skin specialist suggested a terrific medicated gel that has to be a prescription from my GP. I put it on for 2 days, makes my hair all oily, but worth it to be rid of the thick plaque on my scalp. Wash it out in the shower and I'm good for about 4 days, better than just leaving it.

Great CC, is it a steroid gel? Glad you're getting results!
