Just watched a tv commercial with a young lady saying about blemishes on her skin/face and say how important it is to have clear skin,i see why us flakers feel insecure with adds like this,it is all selling products though

So true John, I guess the media doesn't help with body image in many ways including skin health. Hard to avoid being exposed to it though!

It's really just another aspect of size zero models or the Abercrombie and Fitch store forcing an employee with just one arm work in the back store. They want the public to aspire to an ideal they create. We don't fit their ideal, and for me at least, I'm grateful for that.

So true james and Sarah , i have never met the perfect person yet without some fault of some kind

Absolutely!!! I think social media is a HUGE percentage of how we should look, act, dress.....How tiring is it to feel you have to live up to these impossible and unrealistic expectations!!!! Even models have HUGE self-esteem issues, and like James says, the "size zero" bullshit!!!! (the b.s. part is mine :))

@John. Speaking of blemishes. Yesterday I read an article about a young girl whom is using a very popular make up remover face wipes. She had this bad rash all over her face and neck. When I zoomed in, It looked like plague Psoriasis. But apparently she is not the only one to use these wipes and lots of other women experienced the same. I guess it wasn't P but I felt sorry for her. People who uses these products think it's chemical free but it's not. Should I wish to use such products I would choose the baby one's.

My reaction to ads like the one you mention is if you are so traumatised by a few spots, God help you if you ever get P! Just shows how strong (& realistic) we in the P community really are!🏋️♀️😁

Yes it is John, I use the baby wipes and I have never had a problem with it before up to now.
