Arms are virtually clear now because of that yellow ball in the sky, Thank you SUN , you are wonderful in small doses with your power to heal me from these flakes :)

I live in Oregon, and we don't get much sunshine during the winter months (which are long!). So, I opt to tan on occasion, although it is spendy :) But, I do love laying there in the "buff" and pretending I'm at the beach!!! Now I just have to work in ear buds for the music part :)

Thank you all for your comments :)

That's great John, I had it really bad too but lucky enough to spend a month with my family in OZ then had light treatment at hospitals, had about 10 sessions now and am virtually clear with a nice tan for the first time in my life. Fingers crossed it it doesn't come back. Hope the Sun continues to shine on us all. You and other members of this group are an inspiration, so thank you everyone.
26 May 08:42
Maybe it is also the little yellow balls in your fruit bowl, John? 😆 Sun, wonderful. Hope we get some more sun soon, after this rain and cloud! I have weird tan lines on my feet. Like half tanned, half not tanned. From my summer shoes!
26 May 14:28
haha Sarah thats funny :),thank you joan, i am glad we can all help each other here :)
26 May 14:37
Has anyone had the sun to make it worse? Dr told me last year to wait thru summer and then they would decide if they could give me anything or not. (Dermatologist and Oncologist) It got worse and spread all over. This year I just about had it cleared up with some lotion I found and Tumeric. Got out and mowed the grass couple of weeks ago, came in and it was all red as fire. Got it somewhat calmed down, mowed grass last week, came in and the same thing all over plus some new spots. Same thing happened yesterday, so I can only assume its the sun from being out in it. Obviously the dr's thought it would help, and all you all think it helps you, but it seems to be different for me.
26 May 14:41
Hello dianna, what time did you go out in it and how long? i dont go out in it at peak times if i can help it, if you burn it, you can make it worse,i only do small doses of sun now and again
26 May 15:11
So sorry you have a bad reaction to going in the sun Dianna
26 May 19:16
Could be the actual grass Dianna rather than the sun...
26 May 23:01
Hi Diana, I’m the same (never used to be). I seem to have an outbreak when the sun comes out and I have been outside, covered up or not! Heat and sun for me is not helping... this has been the case for the last few years for me.
26 May 23:05
I agree with Sarah. It's most likely the grass.
27 May 07:16
I thought of the grass, but I also was in my driveway cleaning my car one day. All gravel, wide and long driveway. As soon as I started getting hot all the places started getting real red. So I think its just sun and heat. Thanks everybody, I will have to experiment a bit with it and see how it goes.

Lately my arms are really bad, I always seem to be scratching them. Sometimes it gets that bad that I have to use an ice pack on them.
27 May 08:06
Hello Isobel, what things have you tried to make things better besides ice ?
27 May 08:16
hi, I have tried just coconut oil by itself, then I tried lavender with liquid coconut oil, I tried plain vitamin E. Cortisone cream from the Dr.
27 May 12:15
That's brilliant John .. mine is looking better but not clearing .it's now sunny again here so I'll try and sit out late afternoon and offer up my elbows to the sun 😆
27 May 12:23
Thanks Catherine, the small joys and maybe a large one to some :),i am just so glad its warm sun or not thank you :)
27 May 23:42
That's great john... Yes the sun is a great gift for our skin but also Vitamin D...
28 May 08:28
That's wonderful news John. I'm very happy for you :)
28 May 08:30

28 May 08:34

28 May 08:46
You sound happy John. :)
28 May 09:08
Yes i am okay thanks Michelle, apart from my back ache i live with, i am good, happy on my own, my ex does want me back i know but no,be friends in time i am happy with , may take time for her,she is lonely i think,i am too but, i am okay that way,its good Michelle thank you :)
28 May 09:29
I'm glad you're happy being on your own John. By being like that, one can find yourself again, look at things differently and then make choices. To stay in a unhealthy relationship is not good for anyone and it doesn't matter if you love that person or not. We grow so use to one another when in a relationship that you do not know what to do with yourself once you're alone. Loneliness can also be confused with boredom. Give yourself time and let her do the same. This might be what you both need. I hope your back will feel better soon John. Back ache is a nasty kind of sore. :)
28 May 10:13
Thank you Michelle, we didnt see each other a lot because of different times of work and days off etc , I did a lot though she didnt think so,she does realize now that i used to keep the house we lived in together in one piece , shes okay, Think you are right about the boredom thing and getting used to being in a relationship, i knew i couldnt go on, no spark or anything so,it was time to end it,we did get on like friends though which is something :) thank you, i hope my back gets better soon aswell, i still have aches from hurnia operation, joys of being a man, could be worse thank you :)
28 May 12:03
You made a smart move John. Unhappy relationship is not good for your P as well. One needs something to live for which will make you happier as well. I do hope you feel better soon John. I'm going through this menopausal thingy and its eating me up. I hate feeling hot then cold and I get headaches, feel tired and bloated and just everything! Joys of being a woman. lol
28 May 13:17
Sorry about this Michelle, as long as you dont get angry and start throwing ya flakes at people , seriously , i know it can be bad for a lot of woman and apparently men can get this aswell?i hope you get better soon too Michelle thanks
28 May 13:36
lol. Thank you John. I've always had a temper but now it's as if I don't have patience? None. No tolerance to BS. It will get better. I better get better soon. lol.

Amazing. I’m considering even moving to a Punta Cana Dominican Republic . Back to teaching, finish early, take some sun. I was having UV therapy which is the same and caused more stress having to leave work and rush through Miami traffic just to be in a light box for seconds or minutes. Natural sunlight is definitely the way to go
31 May 05:49
@ Gabriela. Warm place to stay indeed and absolutely beautiful. I would love to stay there as well but I'm very afraid of Tsunamis. I think Joburg in SA is the best place to stay. I feel safer. lol. Teaching is not stressful is it? Looks more relaxing than a 8-5 office job. What do you teach? Did the UV therapy help your P?
I wish I could leave early to sit in the sun and drink turmeric cocktails with a dash of pepper. 🙄 No traffic stress, no yelling at the motorists (which takes a lot of energy).
