The more you stress and think about it the more p will spread. 10 minutes sun exposure then 1 hour gym (footing or cycling ).
You will see the difference .
Also it depends on wich part of the world are you living as the sun is different from countries

Welcome to Flaym Roisin! I am not sure if mine is the same this year. Previously the sun used to help my psoriasis, and I think long term it still does. But I have just come out of a 3/4 week flare and that also coincides with the sunny period we have had! I can't explain it through anything for sure but it is one possibility. It isn't food as my diet hasn't changed... Has the sun always aggravated your psoriasis?

No the sun used to really help with my psoriasis but I think it may be that I was in a different country with different heat. I’m in Ireland so maybe that’s why the sun isn’t really helping?

For the last few years I have flared around the same time of year, around May when we’ve had hot weather in the uk. I’m wondering if I’ve become photosensitive? It’s confusing, may be a combination of factors but I now avoid the sun for the time being. My skin has been much better over the winter months 🤷🏻♀️

That's a good connection you have there Roisin. Where did you live before Ireland?
What a strange change eh Cherryl. Did you spend a lot of time in the sun before you noticed?
I just did a quick google search and found this:
Sunlight, especially its ultraviolet radiation component, can cause increased or additional types of damage in predisposed individuals, such as those taking certain phototoxic drugs, or those with certain conditions associated with photosensitivity, including Psoriasis... I never knew about a direct connection between the two. Did your medication change at all before or during that time? Happy your skin has been better in the winter!

Hi Michelle, I used steroids a lot in the past, but didn’t notice a reaction to the sun back then .... quit the steroids about 7 years ago and went down the holistic route.... clear for a year or so at first, then crept back in to my life ( but had cheated some on diet so think it was build up )... now the effects from with sun/heat reaction brings me out in spots... started using vit d analogue after this occurred. Interesting info you found... I do wonder that I have somehow become photosensitive.... the mysteries of p 🤷🏻♀️X

So many mysteries indeed Cherryl. When you went off the steroids, did you need to wean off them?
