Coping, treatment

I'm reading a book about eating right for your blood type. It says P is usually a result from allergic chemicals acting within the blood & most common with O's. those who are O, should avoid grains and dairy, which is true or me. Anyone else? I am O+

I am also O+, but dairy is a problem for me but rice is no problem. I avoid all grains except rice.
Hi Sarah, What about other foods to avoid for O+?

Bev
Bev @bev43

My hubby is O and his P is definitely better when avoids grains and dairy

To be honest, I can't remember if I'm O or B but like Md, I can't do grains or yogurt etc but I'm fine with brown rice.

Yep same here Michelle I'm O+ as well. It's just so so hard to give up grains and dairy completely. I can be really good for 2 weeks but then I'm craving fresh bread butter and cheese.

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

I know Jen. I loooove bread and cheese. melted cheese on fresh bread. so delicious. But...I replaced bread with provitas? I don't itch from provitas and it is filling. One can put a lot of stuff on the provitas. Build a tower. Aaaand it even looks attractive.

I’m A+ and that is true for me. Anddddd I love cheese and bread 💔
However, due to recent findings I know I can still have them just in moderation and few and far between 😊 I’ll take it!

Rani
Rani @rani1

what does it say for B+, Ive cut out dairy and wheat, all gluten, must I cut out grains as well, and I don't have any nuts

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

You're a lucky girl Heather. I can't eat cheese. The only cheese that I can eat is orginal feta. I haven't had macaroni & cheese for a long time now and I do crave it. Might have it on Saturday. :)
Rani, Somewhere in my mind it tells me I'm a B+ as well but I'm not too sure. I can't eat nuts at all. Grains are bad for my P as well as Gluten. Dairy gives me a terrible flare.

thank you Michelle

Michelle @michelle1021

Rani, there's not much left to eat is there? lol. We just need to experiment more and see what works for us. :)

I thought the same thing, but like somebody said we are warriors and will survive.

I don't know what blood type I am. I just rang my surgery to find out and apparently my doctors surgery don't keep that on file. How bizarre.

I’m A- and actually followed the eat right for your blood type for more than a year quite some time ago. I didn’t get positive results from it. I do know that I should avoid dairy. I don’t avoid it religiously but consume very little. I also went gluten free last year for more than a year and ended up with severe digestive issues. Hard to pinpoint why but I think I was eating too many nuts. All to say it’s very complicated!

Wow! That's interesting....I'm O+ also. I've gone gluten free, but still do dairy. Maybe I need to try avoiding this as well. Have you cut these out yet?

Cheese and bread are my favourites as well. It is so hard. I am currently keeping them out of my diet and I have in the past as well. It has been really helpful with clearing my skin on more than one occasion. I will share what to avoid with the blood types tomorrow 😊 I am heading to bed shortly. The book is called "eat right for your blood type" I will post the author tomorrow as well. @Sarah, That is crazy your drs office could not find your blood type!! you would think that it would be easy to locate it!
@Heather, Love that you can eat them in moderation!.
@Michelle what is a provita? sounds intriguing! @rita, sorry to hear eating for your blood type didnt work out well for you after dedicating so much time to it.

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

@ Michelle. I did not know how to explain what a provita is but I got this from google who set it out better that what I ever can. lol "Provita are regarded as a low-fat, high-fibre and low-glycaemic index (GI) food which can be a great help to people tyring to lose weight or to control their blood sugar levels (i.e. insulin resistance). According to the label, a serving of 20 g = 4 Provita Wholewheat biscuits, provides 368 kJ or 92 kJ per biscuit" It's a substitute for bread and very nice.

Sarah
Sarah @sarahuk

Is it a bit like Ryvita Michelle?

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

Sarah, I am not sure as I have never tried Ryvita but both are made from wheat flower? Provita contain gluten but it has never triggered my P in anyway. I guess its because I dont eat a lot of it but to those whom cant eat gluten, you might be weary to try it.

Bev
Bev @bev43

To me Pro-Vita is less cardboardy than Ryvita

Dr D’Adamo is the best! I’m Type O+ Non-Secretor and Hunter genotype. Eat Right 4 Your Genotype worked better for me than Eat Right 4 Your Bloodtype.
