...feeling happy Mishlyn @mishlyn

At some point after diagnosis, in our cycle of grief we stop looking for a cure and begin to advocate being "As well as possible" - For as long as possible. It stops being about delaying life until we are cured, but enjoying the moment πŸ’™ Lisa Copen

I saw this today, it resonates so deeply within me and I know it will for others too πŸ’š For people who are newly diagnosed, or feeling down with p, I hope you can have a much shorter grief period than I had. It lasted almost 20 years. I am hopeful that with all the beauty found here grief periods become smaller and smaller for everyone..until they disappear πŸ’›

A Rolls Royce doesn't look any less sexy with a chip in the paint 🎨 Michelle you are still a Rolls.

Chel @chel

So true. I stopped hiding my hands and if someone stared I let them if they asked what's wrong I told him if they ask more questions I'd answer them I had to explain that they couldn't get them because some people thought that they if they touch my hands they get p

Mishlyn @mishlyn

Good for you Chel, Taking and sharing is one of the best things we can do. It can feel scary at first (it was for me..lol) The more we can do it, the easier it becomes.

Chel @chel

Yea it does. Plus the more ppl know about p and how you can & can't get is a get thing too.

Michelle @michelle1021

Thank you Michelle and it is so true. I just want my P to be as "well as it possibly can, for as long as possible". Looking at the sentence, we will find the inspiration to just do that. Cure is not even on my mind.

Sarah @sarahuk

Manage it, manage it, manage it! Yep. I never think of "cure" either. I'm just looking for minimising really!

Debbie @debbie651980

I wish there w as a cure, managing it is hard for me! 😒
