I’m reading Healing Psoriasis by John O.A. Pagano. About to start the diet, has anyone else used this diet to heal severe plaque psoriasis???

I've been on it a month. My plaques might be smoother, but just as red as always. No change in size. Lots of weight loss though

Welcome to Flaym, Ryan! I've heard a lot about this book and have heard of the general principles of it. I tried to loan it at my local library but they don't stock a copy... I know roughly the type of diet it is. It is kind of similar to mine. I've been following the autoimmune protocol eating plan for 6 months now. I do see improvement in my skin! Most of which I think comes from the no-nightshades and possibly also not eating refined carbohydrate. It has also made me realise that if I eat foods high in histamine it makes my skin sore / itchy. That is a useful finding for me in itself!

I am reading it too Ryan. I have had it for a couple of months but have just been able to pick it up again after a busy few weeks. I would really like to follow his protocol once I read more and make sure I have all I need. Are you going to add in the slippery elm back and American yellow saffron tea to the diet? He considers them to be mandatory as they are a vital part of the healing process. Both are prepared in the form of tea and are administered with the purpose of healing the internal walls of the intestine and purifying the entire alimentary canal. It's a great book! Welcome to Flaym!

Hi Ryan. I'm trying not to change my diet as it may be a shock on my immune system. It sounds great and I do hope it works for you. The weight loss sounds promising as well. Good luck!
