Coping, treatment, healthcare system

Day 9 post 1st Biologics injection. Major improvement, scales turning to redness, less flakiness and feeling positive. Also coincides with our Irish heatwave but I will take any improvement. Maybe I won’t have to buy as many creams & lotions soon!

Hi peter, that is so good to hear that it’s working. My dermatologist have recommended biologics but I was so afraid with the side effects. I have thought about it for awhile, with all the creams, organic oils and so on that bilogics would be my last resort. Keep us posted with your progress! πŸ€“

That's great Peter! Happy you are seeing improvements. How often do you take an injection? Does it hurt?

That was my first injection. 2nd one on week 4, 3rd on week 12 and then every 12 weeks stretching out to every 16 weeks. I have had no side effects that I have noticed and zero pain with the injection.

Good for you! I hope you continue to see improvements. I have tried many things over the last 20+ years some with success others not so much. But I have been able to achieve total remission for lengthy periods of time with biologics, not only with the skin issue of psoriasis but the joint pain and swelling from the psoriatic arthritis which truly was life changing. I haven't been on a biologic for over a year now and am getting ready to start a new one I have never used. A little scared and anxious but also hopeful.
