...feeling happy Sarah @sarahuk

One of the mums was hobbling across the school playground today. I asked her if she'd done herself a mischief, and she said "no it's arthritis". I asked what kind - it was PsA. She's had it since age 7. It always amazes me how many of us there are ๐Ÿ’œ

So true Sarah and its only going to get worse as time goes on unfortunately, i have met some one with crippled hands and around early 30s, she a nurse, she kept saying she was happy but, wow, i wouldnt be, i saw here trying to hold a pen, both lots of fingers were shot to the point they were not straight and bent in different directions,i put a post up here about it near a year ago i think,my friends girlfriend has a shot knee but you wouldnt know as she has steroid injections in it,she had psoriatic arthritis before her flakes in her scalp, only place she gets it though, i have never seen a flake on her and me , i look normal now, just a slight nodual in the thumb, slight raised one at the wrist, who would know, the force is strong with me i think :)

It is hard to be happy when our bodies slow down or we can't move like we did before. Most of us try to just deal with it and go on until it gets to be overwhelming.

There sure are Sarah, I am curious.. can people have Psa without having psoriasis?

I can feel the difference in my body in just the last two years. Pain is much worse and more of my fingers are now getting misshapen. But hey I'm blessed to be alive

I dont know Michelle! I did kind of want to ask if she had any skin psoriasis, as well as the arthritis form she has. I didn't manage to ask... maybe one day when we talk again I will try. Argh Bev, we're all a bit misshapen in some way ๐Ÿ˜„

Bev are you taking any inflammatory meds for your psa?

Maybe next time you can ask her Sarah? I would like to know if this is possible. To have Psa but not Psoriasis that is.
Bev: The inflammation in perivascular field increases serum PSA levels. Which means inflammatory dermatosis is centred around superficial or deep dermal blood vessels. My Psa has gotten so much better that I sometimes forget that I have it. I concentrate on getting the inflammation out of my body by eating the right food. Luckily we have Sarah here to guide us there too! Since I've been drinking my turmeric in the mornings and evenings, and having some hawaiian salt in my food, I don't feel it anymore, unless I eat something crappy like the stew I had the other day. I know that maybe someday my remedies won't work for me anymore but till then, I will dose myself 3 times a day should need be. :)

I do take anti-inflammatories but only when it's really bad not on a daily basis. Unfortunately I can't take the Turmeric because of blood pressure issues. I do try and eat right but have been bad with chocolates the past few weeks again so I think that's why it's playing up. After my birthday on Tuesday it's back to no sugar again
