Coping

Spent the day at the lake swimming yesterday for the first time this year. I was hesitant, my skin is good but discoloured bits still make me self conscious. After a heart melting pep talk from my boys, 13 & 11 I was able to relax & enjoy myself ❀

You're a beautiful woman, Michelle, and you're teaching those sweet boys the powerful lesson that life can be joyfully abundant despite adversity, discomfort, and pain. Well done!

Thanks so much Ava and John ❀
They brought tears to my eyes with the encouraging words they were using and made me feel so much better and so proud of them too. That first dive in the water felt absolutley incredible and knowing that my young boys have so much compassion and positivity in their hearts makes me so super proud 😊❀

Thanks Bev! It made me realise how so many moments spent with insecutities can be washed away with a single step.. or dive.. forward πŸ˜ƒπŸ’™

I think it’s only natural for us with p to be self conscious when in public. But I have learned that we are much harder on ourselves than need be. For the most part nobody really cares or even notices. Good for your boys to point that out. Sounds like you got some great kids.

Well said Jim! We can indeed be much harder on ourselves than we need to be.

Awwww bless them. Michelle, you have the most adorable little boys and not only that, they are going to grow big and strong and they will always look after you. You might not know it yet, but your boys are already looking out for you. They are keeping strong...for you.
