Hi Cheryl, I understand your feelings wanting to get off the steriod meds. I am the same. Since I started taking a probiotic and omega 3 my skin is much stronger and healthier. My skin on my arms were getting quite thin, just a simple scratch would bring blood to the surface.. and now that no longer happens. I'm not sure which is helping more as I started them both at the same time. Sorry you are having a hard time, Coconut oil may be a good soothing moisturizer for you. Have you ever tried it? Welcome to Flaym, I hope you feel better soon!

Hello Cheryl. i know the steroid does control it to a degree there, i use Childs farm moisturizer there and that does help and limit steroids there,it is a hard place to treat i know,I have had psoriasis all my life and i have had ups and downs with it there, it was worse as a teenager , i have always managed to control it,i used to always use 1% hydrocortisone and that helped me for years, it is a mild steroid,i have to use them from time to time there but limit it too not too much, i used to use it daily there for years which is not good i know, luckily i get it mild there these days, i have good days, i wish you well

I found something strange that's really worked for me these past 3 days "DR Brushing Rinse" which is supposed to be a mouth wash. Mine was OLD, just sitting there. I read the ingredients and figured they shouldn't hurt, even it they didn't help - and dang if the formula hasn't worked better than anything, though I occasionally need to add plain cocoa butter as a moisturizer). PROBLEM: The company's now changed the formula to increase the strength of the hydrogen peroxide from 1% to 3% - good for bleaching teeth, not so good for "down there." So ... I'm going to try to duplicate the original formula at home and will let everyone know if it actually works. Original ingredients: Purified Water, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis organic), Hydrogen Peroxide (1% food-grade), Peppermint Oil (organic essential oil), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil (organic essential oil), Lemon (Citrus Medica Limonium) Oil (organic essential oil), Clove Oil (organic essential oil), Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Leaf Oil (organic essential oil), Cinnamon Oil (organic essential oil)

Seeing a Dermatologist or Rheumatologist? Lots of effective treatments available. I'm using a med that is injected once weekly and used with Folic acid. Seems to be working. I have psoriatic arthritis as well as psoriasis.

I used olive oil on mine, recommendation of a midwife. Was soothing!
