Arthritis... Motherfu**** haven't have it ever in all the time during P (12 years), so scared .|

Ava
Ava @ava1

I've had arthritis for 22 years but don't know whether or not it's PA, so I'm trusting that those who have that diagnosis will be able to help walk you through the pain and steps to take. Hang in. You are not alone.

Millionways
Millionways @millionways

Arthritis was the hardest part of P to accept for me. I was 30 years old and felt like a granny. In the beginning I felt people didnt understand what I was going thrue wile I needed support. It took a long time to accept.
Hang in, you will get there.

Thank You Ava!

Hope it was just non-related pain, but that joint on one foot is bigger then on the other foot.

Michelle @michelle1021

I have arthiritis in both my thumbs, ok well it seems I have it in only one thumb now and its not hurting anymore nor stiff but I have never went to the Dr to get this diagnosed. I guess the turmeric, black salt combined with Himalayan salt is helping. Good luck P4G and I wish you well.

 john,Chewweeeeee
john,Chewweeeeee @chewbacca

Yes like you Michelle, i have one dodgy thumb that is evident because of the nodual and the wrist used to play up aswell as fingers , that used to give me so much jip that thumb,I havnt had a problem with it in over a year

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

Dodgy thumb lol. Morning John. I'm just glad my thumbs are good now. I hated it when I got that sudden pain yelling ouch! for 5 minutes. The diet change has really helped me with the Arthritis and I couldn't be happier. I can actually open a jar without yelping. :)

I wish you well P4G, keep us updated how things go :)

john,Chewweeeeee @chewbacca

Good morning Michelle :), I remember the jar and bottle top incidents i had so well, i had to ask the ladies at work to take the tops off until i started using my grip tool, they thought i was a weakling :) , I had explain all the time,my arthritis is the problem and then had to explain why i got it when they asked :)

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

Luckily they know now and don't see you as a weakling. I'm glad your arthritis is much better John. :)

 john,Chewweeeeee
john,Chewweeeeee @chewbacca

And yours too Michelle,3 months it took or around to make it better with Diet/lifestyle changes that healed around start of may last year, i remember the toe pain too, i used to kick the side gate open when i had lots of bags of shopping, that used to hurt, waking up in the morning all stiff, rolling out of bed ,falling over ,finding it hard to grip things, dropping my phone all the time,my tennis elbows were worse then , wrist pain, not good at all ,why i had to do something about it myself,No they dont see me this way now at all,I was never a weakling, i used to lift too much hence why i got a Hurnia which got done october of last year thank you michelle :)

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

I agree John. You did not have it easy especially with your tennis elbows as well. Tell me, you don't experience any problems after your Hurnia operation?
I think my thumbs would've been worse if I did not change my diet/lifestyle. I type a lot and the worst is when the pain strikes through the thumb and just go stiff for no reason. I had to sit and massage my whole hand to make it feel better. (maybe I need Justin's masseuse ;). I'm just glad I don't get it anymore.
John, people are too judgmental. They judge you for wearing a damn skirt with sneakers. Who care? Its their fashion so stop judging. People like that makes me angry. My director can't open his jam jars due to his arthritis so now I open it for him. :)

 john,Chewweeeeee
john,Chewweeeeee @chewbacca

Hello Michelle, yes i got tennis elbows because of a fall, i went backwards and landed on my elbows, it took well over a year to get better, my right elbow still has it but mild, i feel sometimes.

My Hurnia op had been giving me problems with nerve damage, my right leg had been numb for months also my sperm banks had been in pain with aching and if i slapped the underpant elastic against them by accident , god, i would suffer, the aching has reduced over time, all aches are near gone now thankfully :)By now Michelle, i would be around 16 stone, maybe more damage or pain, best thing i did change, Yes typing used to do may hands in , i made more spelling mistakes than i do now believe me and i couldnt be bothered to correct it , Skirt with sneakers sounds good Michelle :)I am sure your director is grateful to you for helping him thanks :)

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

I'm greatfull that I can help him opening the jar John as it shows that my arthritis is getting better.
Some people I know have tennis elbow as well and it looks like they are suffering from it. It looks painful.
I know it must have been difficult for you. All that pain. And the nerve damage? You need to go for an op to fix it too? Sorry to hear about this John but I'm glad you are much better now. I don't know how I would've coped if I were in your shoes. Sorry John. :)

 john,Chewweeeeee
john,Chewweeeeee @chewbacca

Its okay Michelle, i know when i damage myself or like with the Hurnia op, i think to myself it will heal eventually :) Doc has said these things will go, though to completely go maybe another year but, i am doing well Michelle, it near all gone with that , 5 months ago, i did say to the Doc about this
and he said do you want another op, i said noooo, glad i didnt they could had made things worse playing with my inners ,, i am fine now :)Tennis elbow was a nightmare, I was building well fixing some sheds with this aswell as pulling one down, there was 3 sheds in bad condition and one had to go, it was painful doing this , me ex kept going on about getting it done and i had to do a bit here and there because of the pain,I would come home straight from work and get on it and i had get rid of lots of wood etc,I did it to keep her happy :) well i had to cope Michelle and that was it thank you :)

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

What one won't do for the love of one's life right. Then it turns out they are not. I'm glad you're much better now John. :)
The hurnia Op...did it trigger your Psoriasis?

 john,Chewweeeeee
john,Chewweeeeee @chewbacca

Well it was key hole surgery so no real scars, i got enough battle damage scars :) yes i did get psoriasis where the scars were from the op but didnt last long and it didnt make my psoriasis worse generally, i was on 2 month no alcohol detox at that time too,i know sound like an alcoholic, thanks :)

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

lol. don't worry John. I sound like one too ...AND...it's Friday. 😁That's excellent news that your P did not get any worse. The detox must have helped but I guess it was your inner strength as well that contributed to it. :

 john,Chewweeeeee
john,Chewweeeeee @chewbacca

Thing is Michelle. After that 2 month Detox i went to a party and drank like i used to and i was so drunk and threw up, probably a good thing ,less toxins in the body :) i couldnt even remember walking back to my friends house i was in such a mess and i dont get in those states,Yes i think you are right about the inner strength, |:)

Psoriatic4good
Psoriatic4good @psoriatic4good

Went to the store, right foot hurts so much :(

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

I agree, it was a good think to throw up but I'm sure you learned from that experienced. Most people had days like that and its better to forget about them. lol :)

Michelle
Michelle @mishlyn

Sorry to hear that p4g. I remember the pain all to well, even though I only experienced it for 1 year. I dont have the answers as to why it disappeared for me, but the good news is that it did. I hope you can get some answers soon & have your pain reduced. Do you have a turmeric supplement in your diet? May be something to consider as it has helped so many others.

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

Hi P4G. Turmeric has helped me a lot with my joint pain and I'm quite into it. Not a day goes by that I don't drink it. I also add a bit of black pepper. I'm not up to date with your condition and will appreciate if you can tell me what type of P you have? Thank you :)

Psoriatic4good
Psoriatic4good @psoriatic4good

I hope I will not need anything for that because it doesn't exist.

I have inverse P with wide spread.

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

What doesn't exist P4G? Joint pain? Sorry, I'm having one of my blonde days today - I had inverse P under my breasts and it was constantly burning and itching. Bleeding at a point. It was really painful. As you know I use a coal tar mixture. I just slapped that on and on weekends I did not even bother to wear a underwear as it was too painful. I sat outside in the sun (topless of course) and I got some sun. It took a few weeks to go away but I still sometimes apply my mixture on under my breasts. And while being at it, I even went to a nudist camp to get some sun all over and I will do it again if my P gets to that stage again.
May I ask what you are currently using for your P?

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

P4G. You are here for a reason. You are angry. Upset. You hate the world. You hate what you have. You hate everyone. You are miserable, but still longing for something that might help your Psoriasis. We don't judge you. Don't ever excuse yourself for being angry. You have the right to be! You want a normal life. You want to be happy and smiling without pain and looking 'normal' ! Yes! You deserve that! You deserve to be happy. You deserve to be handsome and having fun! YOU, can change that by trying to manage your condition. Be positive. I know it is not easy but TRY! You can do this. Just, ...Try. We are here for you okay? It breaks my heart to see you feeling this way but just try and lets see where it goes. You will be allright. I know you will.

Kim

Me too. My knuckle joint of my right index finger. I am right handed so everyday is a world of pain. I hope you can get some relief. Sorry too, to hear your news.

Ava
Ava @ava1

I don't know if this will help, but here goes:
I've had arthritis in all of my finger joints for about 22 years now. At the time, I had no visible psoriasis, so it may or may not be psoriatic arthritis. Three years ago I was seeking remedies for a bad case of poison oak and found only one remedy that worked - Rhus toxicodendron. I didn't know that it was a homeopathic remedy, but when I also noticed that my joints and shoulders (fibromyalgia pain) were also far less painful, I made the connection. Sure enough, in addition to preventing and curing poison ivy, Rhus tox helps soothe joint pain. Now, whenever my joints "act up," I reach for Rhus tox. It works every time without fail with zero negative side effects. For the past year, I've been taking turmeric so am having to take Rhus tox less often, but I'm surely glad it's there when I need it. Maybe it'll work for you! Hope so, as it's quite inexpensive.

Maybe the strength abounded Me.

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

P4G. Remember why you started. Don't give up yet. You will find a way. Success in life comes when you simply refuse to give up. Don't think about losing the battle. Sometimes, we have to lose something to stay motivated and to become determine to get on top of that ladder. Don't give up just because things are hard. You're strong P4G and never underestimate your strength. :)

Millionways
Millionways @millionways

It’s okay to feel sad for a moment. But do not let it take over your life. After a while you have to say: I am back. Put on some good music and go do something to distract your mind. You will be just fine.

Psoriatic4good
Psoriatic4good @psoriatic4good
