Allan, my heart goes out to you. I'm so sorry to hear this. I cannot imagine how I would feel if my child felt like that towards me. It must be heartbreaking. We did not choose to have this illness. We did not choose for our children to have it. All we can do is to try and manage it the best we can. We can't blame anybody for our P as this skin condition is out of our control. Let's go back to the medieval times, who are we going to blame? We can't sit back and accept the blame. Instead, try to make things easier. Managable. Give advice and hope. Show confidence. Psoriasis is not the end of our lives. If somebody wants to blame us for giving them P, remind them that at least they have time to enjoy life to the most. You gave the words to them, its their choice on how they are going to use it. Don't feel guilty. Its NOT your fault. People just need to open their eyes and see what life is about instead of seeing the negative. I do hope your daughter will see things differently. :)

Ah that is so sad that this could happen... but I am very glad that things are better between you now. I don't know how much of p is hereditary as my parents don't have it in my case, nor anyone else from other generations of my family, but I don't really feel any sense of blame towards my family in general. I hope things are OK between you for a long time to come with this issue!

My P comes from my dad's side, but I can't blame him. Psoriasis showed up when Egyptian mummies were unearthed. Hell, which mummy shall we blame? We do not have it easy, but living off of guilt doesn't make things better. Angry. It might makes us angry to have this illness, but it doesn't make me bitter towards anybody.

So Michelle, true about the mummies. yes i know about this,i have never been bitter about it, it isnt going to change anything for me ,bitterness leads to anger, and anger leads to the dark side, one can waste a lot of their life being bitter/angry
