Looks, coping

How quickly things can turn around... Skin was great this time last week and now a week later it is looking its worst for months on arms! Isn't psoriasis cruel at times. Time to switch things up again and try something new!

It is so cruel I know how you feel I am having a horrible time with my scalp it seems to be getting worse and worse. I am trying the olive oil and lemon juice.

What is jamaican mango? I have used pure castor oil shampoo in the past.

Have you been out of routine? Just got back from holiday and mine has flared. Scalp is playing up and that had been so good.

It is so frustrating!
The encouragement and suggestions on this site are such a great resource for being able to try new approaches and not get too discouraged.

That's such a big disappointment for you Sarah but I know you will soon have it sorted and bounce right back

Do you have any idea why your p flared up? This is the problem I think. There are so many variables it’s hard to know whether it’s something we are/drank, emotional stress... don’t be discouraged Sarah. You’ll figure it out and get back on track.

I agree with Rachel Sarah. You have been away a lot over the past month out of your routine and reintroduced some foods. I'm assuming that has a lot to do with it. Have you kept a diary to trace what you have changed and when? With me sometimes it takes a few hours sometimes a couple of weeks to react to certain things, while your immune system is working hard to try to accept or disagree with those foods again. That's why it's so difficult. I'm sure you will work it out Sarah.

I have a big flare right now. It's worse on my fave ears and scalp than it'sbeen in the last few weeks. Sometimes mine reacts sudden then I think it reacts later when I've forgotten about what may have triggered it. It is so cruel.

Yes Jane same here just when you think you have it licked it comes back with a vengeance and it’s back to square one

Very true Jane. I hope yours clears up soon. My scalp is bad too at the moment. And palms of hands.

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone! Yes I have been away a lot is true. And I have reintroduced nightshades, limited dairy and non gluten grains in small amounts. I'm thinking diet wise it'd have to be the nightshades as I'd been off those for a year or more, and the quantities of dairy and grains have been really quite small. Nightshades are out again as of today, see what happens... And more coconut oil, turmeric and Aveeno! And the very most important thing... Try not to panic 👍👍👍

You can do this Sarah. :)
Julia, I don't have scalp P but I used to. My P flared up when I colored my hair for the first time, but now when coloring my hair, nothing happens. My scalp P went away when I colored my hair again. Strange how it works.

Bev
Bev @bev43

I don't think there is anything more confusing than P

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

True Bev. As soon as we think we found something to manage it, it flares up again. I have learned that, by keeping inflammation at bay, my P is my h happier. I basically only concentrate on that. My P is looking good but oi, I need it gone by December and it doesn't want to play with. Have to up my seducing style I think lol. More wine maybe????

Bev
Bev @bev43

Lol Michelle What's happening in Dec if I may ask?

Thanks all. The turmeric tea, which I have been drinking double of has been awesome in getting rid of this latest flare. My arms look much better and it only lasted a few days this time. So grateful!

Linda
Linda @justicejones

Great news Sarah!
I bought some turmeric root because I could not find the tea how should I use it?

Jen
Jen @jen1984

Hi Linda you could slice it or grate it. Cook it up for a bit. Add some black pepper. Strain and drink.

Linda
Linda @justicejones

Thank you Jen I will give it a try!
I think without this sight and all the positive vibes I would
not be able to handle the stress of P. So grateful for everyone and their experiences.
