Hi my lovely Flaymers. Hope you're all doing well? So being at home, I've tried ACV, but...it gave me flakes. Isn't this suppose to clear them? Xxx

Hi Michelle. I seem to have problems with ACV and lemon on my skin. They seem to aggravate my p. I have persevered for a couple of weeks with each but couldn't do it any longer. They just make me very itchy. I can drink acv or lemon in my water no problem.

Hi Michelle, I just gave up all the natural cures and tried Steroid cream for a couple of weeks, I've always steered clear of steroids until now but it's been amazing, stopped all the flaking and itching, I'm going to try it for another 2 weeks and see where that gets me xxx

I don't flake but the acv aggravated my P. I did not itch though. Put some coal tar mix on and it looks good now. Chris steroids do work but it thins the skin and I haven't used any in over 20 years now. I just keep my diet right. I thought the acv would make a difference in my P but it did not. :)

What do you use to help clear your skin? Use that in ears as well.

Hi, lovely Michelle.

Apple Cider Vinegar is very acidic... I have no idea why it is recommended for psoriasis. I know I keep far away from vinegar.. no matter what type it is... I replace vinegar with lemon juice... however, I do not apply lemon juice directly onto my skin..

Re: psoriasis in ears.. I use my hand held UV lamp for a couple of minutes on my ears if they begin to show signs of psoriasis and it works great.

Hi Leonie,
Where can you get a hand held up lamp?

Thank you Leonie. I'm staying away from ACV now, still use lemon with my coal tar as it works best for me. Being at home now, I'm trying everything other Flaymers are using. Quite an experience though ;) bit I'm careful as I do not want to trigger a flare. Thank you :)

Hi Madmum I used a steroid gel for a few days then I moisturised my ears often. Now I just moisturise twice a day and it is great

That's great news Bev! So the steroid worked. Awesome! When we see our P disappear we get so confident in believing the rest will fade too. Just keep on believing.

I had a very interesting chat with my pharmacist this weekend. Unable to speak directly to either my doctor or dermatologist I thought I would pick his brains. I wanted to know why steroids can clear the skin then can come back but spreading further than before. He was unable to help me there but he did say ‘make sure you use gloves to put on steroid cream!’ I’ve never heard this before. Has anyone else?

Makes sense. Steroids thin the skin terribly so you won't have any skin left on hands.

I also used steroid, it did not harm my skin, that is not produced by pharmaceutical company, one Japanese doctor made it himself and he told me it has very less side effect comparing to general steroid

My steroid also have Moringa oil, licorice oil, fermented extract of leaves of shell ginger, macadamia nut oil, Vitamin B1,B2,B12, alpha lipoic acid and very fine powder of 5 kinds of mineral ores. This ointment works very well
