Looks, treatment, diet

If one wants to improve their psoriasis and PSA?,I have improved mine just by making changes to my lifestyle, psoriasis is from within and not from the skin, its what we may do that can make symptoms worse, Thanks :)

I am proof that this lifestyle helps by a long way with symptoms,Its not easy but can be achieved over time and you will get results with determination like i did a year and half ago now, i changed a lot of my habits with foods that were just making inflammation worse, pain in the fingers, cracking crunching, painful toes, falling over in the morning getting out of bed,i could go on,i changed all that, skin looking better, less psoriasis , i wish you all well thanks :)

I’m with you John. The thing is a person has to want healing soooo bad that they would be “willing” to take the risk of a complete change for some. For me my whole life changed. Not just diet either. My mind was F’d up! I actually gave my power to others. I took therapy. I got rid of all negative people including family. Stopped drinking. It took time for sure but my desire was an abundant life in all ways. Quit my job, got divorced and am now getting remarried. Actually sold my dog but that was because I had to move. The thing is, I have Faith a chance. For me there is NO going back to stress, anger, unforgiveness, crap food, booze. Sure, I have less people in my life but I love Susan and my tolerance is very low when it comes to someone dissing this momma. 57 in a couple weeks do understand it took time but I was willing.

Thanks Susan, yes you are right, changing mindset etc does play a role,I remember i was quite down with my plaques not looking good 2 winters ago,i decided to make changes for my health after all,if its not just for the skin and the joints surely its better for general health, i had some tests awhile ago and my health is tops with weight and for what i eat :),I looked at it, i have start somewhere so diet/lifestyle changes was it, the positivity came after i made those changes for my health,I can let my hair down and not get ill effects but i try not to go mad if i can help it ,food is medicine for the body and mind, eat crap feel like crap, eat well feel good or better, its worth it over the long term, one makes changes the mindset will change , i know its a choice though a choice for everyone :)

I agree with you both. Since making lifestyle changes years ago my P has improved. I changed my mindset and became more positive. Accepting myself was the key to healing. I am happy, positive and strong. My diet is not a diet anymore but a lifestyle.

So true michelle, its a lifestyle, once one gets started its in ones daily life to eat like this and your body dosnt miss the junk that just causes inflammation,I accepted this when i was a teenager after all, no choice, manage as best one can,diet/lifestyle had reduced my symptoms, where does one want to be next year with this? thats the way i thought, lifestyle then mindset changed :)

Positive thoughts ...I’m up for that but life gets in the way. Take yesterday for example, I went to look after my grandchildren at their house. Grandson 3 years old a sensitive sole , we really connect but my granddaughter nearly 6 is a nightmare. She wants her way 24/7 it’s driving me mad and I was really ashamed of her behaviour yesterday in front of her friends mum. I left in tears when my daughter arrived home from work. I tried to explain to her but she said ‘ she’s just going through a phase’.Needless to say my P flared up that evening. I’m finding being a grandma doesn’t always go with grandchildren. Sorry to rant ..I feel better now.

Jane you are sooo right. Life can be tough. I have a friend who babysits a VERY tough child. We chatted about how difficult it was for her with this kid. Very stressful. So then we chatted about my life raising my daughter with Tourette’s Syndrome. The one thing that kept me from going mad was laughter. Not at everything but most things. The choice was mine to let outside opinions get me embarrassed or be strict or laugh. Many times I would just smile at people, pick up my daughter screaming, walk away WITHOUT explaining anything. Nobody’s business. Fast forward to 25 years later. My daughter is amazing, kind, laughs, my maid of honour at my wedding, faithful. My point is that you are right. Life happens and so will stress. It’s how we channel our thoughts that is imperative to a peaceful life. I guess having her showed me more than I even know because not much embarrasses me. Lol. I know it’s tough but you can enjoy every moment or not or... just laugh. Food for the soul. Believe me... I totally understand what you’re going through. Blessings always.
