Looks, itch, strangers
We had a psoriatic man come in to look out our carpet cleaners, i could see he had large plaques/scales on his elbows, He was scratching quite a bit ,,The only thing thats contagious is seeing someone scratch, it got me itching and scratching :)

13 Sep 13:17
oh dear ......hope u offered some advice....lol
13 Sep 13:30
Nooo, He may had taken offence Ellen not sure , dont think he be happy me handing out a Diet/lifestyle plan?, The psychological itch i think with me , still feel like ants on me thinking about lol, I am not going to scratch, i keep saying to myself thank you :)
13 Sep 13:32
Like watching someone yawn LoL. Been there done that, the itching can drive you nuts.
13 Sep 13:35
Indeed Erica , yes yawning is one thats gets everyone else going lol :)
13 Sep 13:38
@John I am yawning just thinking about yawning.... Feel so tired just the thought of it makes me want to sleep. Our brains work in mysterious ways. Now I picture me scratching and yawning at the same time hehe. Poor guy is obviously plagued by it.
13 Sep 14:08
Yes hahaha, , poor guy, just thinking about him trying out these carpet cleaners thats been repaired and using them to suck up the flakes thats dropped on the carpets oh dear,he seems a nice and a happy guy and not bothered by it, good for him :) maybe best to sleep it off Erica with all that yawning :)
13 Sep 16:21
I have a friend that has stark white patches on elbows but he never seems bothered by them. No scratching, Maybe I need to ignore and then it won't bother. It would be nice.
13 Sep 16:30
Haha true John. I was a huge scratcher before and whenever I had an itch, people around me started scratching themselves. Contagious indeed. Very difficult to control the itch.
13 Sep 16:58
Yes bazzar that you mentioned the guy you saw and then this guy came into my works today, very happy chappie, just noticed the scratching then look at his elbows, looks like only place i noticed
13 Sep 18:37
Most get P on their elbows first. I have had P there for many years and sometimes I get a spots/spots but they are usually the first to disappear. Maybe because theres not too much body fat there. You know what I mean?
13 Sep 19:04
Sort of Michelle i think :).Yes i know we are all different, mines worse in the winter though not bad and its always been like that,i cant complain :),one elbow is a bit worse than the other one but not bad at all at the moment :)few tiny spots have turned up here and there, i hope keep them under control :)
13 Sep 19:09
Trouble is once you start scratching its a cycle, things get worse, my bum crack which is a popular place tends get sore , i rub it try not scratch there,if i leave it as best i can, it gets better in time,,psoriasis loves those creases like under breasts, bum crack, groin,, if overweight under the belly, places that rub tend to get sore or sweat, :)

Elbows are so so so stubborn!
15 Sep 19:56
The only place my p itches is my scalp. It’s been 15 years I haven’t been able to eliminate it there. So frustrating. I try not to scratch but sometimes I do subconsciously.
16 Sep 11:30
Yes what i was like in the past Rita,i used to scratch in my sleep and leave blood in the bed,i get a slight itch now and again as winter is approaching,i just ignore it , A few flakes have turned up to greet me as this happens around now ,could be worse though
17 Sep 00:04
No bloody sheets yet at least! It usually wakes me up and I stop scratching. Strange how my p is never itchy except on my scalp. I wonder why that is?!
19 Sep 04:01
Elbows too and
Wow on the bum crack- yeah me too, thought that was not usual, glad to see Im not alone there...lol
(only thing i find good for there is Aqua ointment soothes and heals somewhat pretty well -- and my scalp as too , is the worst need to do regimen weekly or I go crazy like I cant stand to feel that stuff as I run my fingers through my hair and scalp,
so out comes the oil and comb. My hair is my life :) if that fails me I'm done.....
Coconut oil is very good too and feels good I find
20 Sep 03:24
Me too, bum crack. Can be painful. I hate the tight feeling that develops around my scalp by the end of the day. I stopped using a comb to remove flakes. It can make it worse. Kobler effect. Cut my nails real short and try to rub and not pick.
20 Sep 08:25
Bum crack not good... its hard to adjust the cheeks when sitting...to avoid the tight feeling on my scalp I keep my scalp oiled ....it does help..picking is bad .. I lost a lot of hair by doing the picking thing although it felt good...I also used to wet my hair then scratch with a comb to lift the soggy flakes....it also caused lots of hair loss............the joys of P... :-)

Aaaw my Ellen. I'm sorry to hear. Have you tried LPC from dischem?
22 Sep 03:27
Michelle what is the LPC from dischem?
Just wondering - I usually use p&S liquid for my scalp to loosen the scales
I am open to trying anything new that might help
22 Sep 13:52
Hi Laurie. Hope you are well? The LPC is a coal tar moisturiser, coal tar mixed with aqueous cream? It helps me with the new term P, usually disappear quick but for long term P it doesn't help unless its a stronger percentaged in tar. My chemist have added 20% more tar for me but my long term P is more stubborn than I . I sometimes use denorex shampoo for my scalp to prevent P if I can say that. I don't have scalp P, I think the home dyes for hair helps but I'm scared to go to a salon as the peroxide is much stronger than in a box. Strange, I got P from coloring my hair at a salon, but my scalp P disappeared when I started using the box. P is a mystery to us. :)
25 Sep 06:47
HI Michelle... will get some LPC & give it a try......thanks hun !!
26 Sep 18:38
Hi my Ellen. It works for me but it might not for you. Its not very strong but it does make a difference in the long run. Keep me posted okay? I want to know if it makes a difference and good luck! Xxx
27 Sep 07:21
Hi Mich... Dischem had no stock of LPC... they had lots of other stuff with coal tar in ... I just bought a coal tar shampoo ....not a pleasant smell but it will work as I have used it before.....
27 Sep 14:01
Did you ask the chemist if they can order for you Ellen? I only use 1 type of coal tar shampoo and that smells like mint. Lol.
27 Sep 14:30
Yep got go get a good chemist to make it u p ok the forms the wait is worth it
28 Sep 10:27
