Secrets, looks, coping

I was only diagnosed with Ps and PsA few months ago, so i'm curious, for those who successfully went through remissions, what is the longest time you've been cleared before another flare up? Have a great day everyone x

Decades for me. I did diet, meditation, gave and continue to give my stress to the Lord, weight control and lots of mind altering thoughts. Lots of stuff.

In the beginning, with light treatment and tar wraps I managed a couple of 6 month remissions. I haven't had that success for the past 6 years. P for 8 years now.

My P went into remission for many years. Due to emotional stress it came back. My skin cleared up apart from my bottom legs. I know how to manage it by keeping a healthy lifestyle. :)

Jasmin I’m a bit of an odd duck. Lol. I don’t ever remember using the word “remission”. To me, in my mind, I just say cured. Remember though. I did lots of things to be cured. I’m a very strong Faithed person and I give all my stress to God. I do that everyday. I also found that I HAVE to keep my weight down, walk, listen to good tunes. Laugh a lot and do not get myself in a tizzy. I do guided meditation pretty regularly but less now that I’m married and started a new job. That’s ok though. I have learned to live in the moment! Not perfect at it but better with age. Life’s getting shorter as my days go by so I embrace what I have, practice gratitude and discard my wants as much as possible. Hope that helps.

True Susan. Whenever I gain weight, my P gets worse. My problem is water retention. Since I've been drinking the turmeric its getting better as well. I'm on a diet again as the clinic gave me contraceptive pills which contain too many female hormones. I felt bloated all the time and I gained 3kg because of it. Now 3kg sounds like nothing but where your P is concern, its a lot. I need to lose 8kg now. Like Susan said, live in the moment, get some exercise and be happy.;)

Mainly mine gets better in the summer, winter is my enemy, i am taking big doses of vit D at the moment to see if that helps? i do so many things to keep the flakes at bay,i have had around 2 years a long time well years ago where it was good through winter summer and was near on clear, not had that since though never been clear of it, always been spots and such like through out my life,I manage and thats it , it could be worse for me so i am thankful , Diet/lifestyle changes can help you jasmin, certain foods are toxic to us what shows in the skin and joints aswell as other nastys one can get over time, i wish you well
