Taking 2 Vitamin D pills a day, good quality pills to see if i get improvement with the skin, probably not the same as the sun burning the flakes off, I shall see :) :)

Good Luck John. My hubby has been sitting in the son everyday for 30 mins and it has healed him up so nicely

Thanks Bev, thats good news :), If i was in SA, i think i would be a clear skin most of the year round, i dont go in the sun that much when its here but just catching it from time to time helps a lot Thank you :)

Hi John, I’ve heard it’s preferable to take liquid vitamin D3 since it’s more easily absorbed by the body. I take about 6,000 IUs per day during the winter, and none in the summer because I spend a lot of time outside in the sun.

I've upped my vita D3 to 5k, (Nordic Naturals brand that Ive been using for years) 1x per day...Not only does it help my P, (to a certain extent, not as beneficial as sun / salt water) D3 is also very important warding off flu, colds and other maladies...Worth mentioning for those of you who do use the sun / tanning booths....If you use sun-block, it does NOT allow ANY of the D to be absorbed...I use coconut oil for the first half hour (yes, coco oil has an spf, tho very low, maybe 8 if that) if staying in the sun longer, then I will apply sunblock, but I use a physical sunblock with zinc oxide & the like...other sunblocks are chemical sunblocks & can do more damage

Thank you John for reminding me to start taking my vit. pills for the winter :) I don't bother any other time as i'm outside.
11 Nov 17:14
Thank you Rita and Lynn, yes i have used vit D3 of which i still use but decided to up my plain vit D, I am not expecting that much but who knows , winter is a pain but i am ok though, ues cant be the sun now and again thank you :)

11 Nov 17:20
Do you see improvement Rita you think with liquid D3?
11 Nov 19:37
I have my vitamin D levels checked annually and they’re perfect. Does it help my psoriasis? Who the hell knows! I’ve started adding vitamin D drops to my cream too.
11 Nov 20:18
Thank you Rita, well i know winter is my enemy and always has been but, i dont get down about it as i dont get it bad to affect my life ,, thank you :)

Winter is my enemy too 😞

Try adding some omega 3 in to the mix also John, preferably any of the oily fish if you have the taste for them. Though a double dose of over the counter supplement's is fine also I have found say two or three times per week.
Another tip is keep up with your Vit' C as since what we suffer from is basically a autoimmunity; the aforementioned can help at times also. Myself have a penchant for any type of mandarin orange's. Though anything similar is good and or say the various effervescent Vit' C most supermarkets stock.

Thank you Dakeyras, Yes all do all those things, vit C,vit D 3,vit D,i eat fish on a regular basis, omega 3 , B12,sometimes , K2, Calcium, i eat a lot of veggies in my diet, some fruits , just thought to up my vit D thank you :)
12 Nov 19:22
Sounds like a good idea John. For the first winter ever I've started taking vitamin D3 daily too, purely because I get such good results using vitamin D analogue topically so thought it made sense to me for the inside too. Us UK based people are advised to do it on the winter too...
12 Nov 20:54
Yes i agree Sarah, maybe i might see some results in time as it might take time to get in the system?its been a few days now with taking two pills daily, anything worth a shot , Yes UK weather is rubbish,i dont like winter at all, if i was a clear skin then maybe ?Sounds good Sarah, makes sense to get vit D on the skin as we do from the sun so inside and out got to be good ,Maybe i crush a vit D pill and rub it on the skin :) think that will work ? lol :) I wait to see if i get improvements or not, i check by next week, if no change i will say if good, i will say here before i go on holiday in the sun , i always have vit D but not in this dose, i do vit D3 also, I let ya know :) thank you :)

What moisturizing cream is best for p
13 Nov 13:27
I use child farm moisturizer Bernadette, dont know whats best to be honest, some use coconut oil aswell as other things, its what suits you :)
13 Nov 15:39
Bernadette I make a home made moisturiser for my hubby. It has Aqueous Cream, Vaseline, Glycerine, Jojoba and Sweet Almond. We use it all over our bodies. It has helped him a lot
13 Nov 16:37
Thats quite a mix Bev, sounds good :)
13 Nov 19:18
I also take 2 vit d tabs a day my scalp did not appreciate dying my hair last weekend.
15 Nov 13:22
Sorry to hear Julia. I hope your scalp will be okay. Home dyes is soft on my scalp but salon dyes makes it itch because of the peroxide.
15 Nov 17:52
Thanks Michelle scalp just really dry not itchy thank goodness. Do you have P on your scalp???
15 Nov 18:39
No I dont Julia. I use head and shoulders mostly but once a week I use a coal tar shampoo to keep it at bay. I know that once I get P on my scalp, it will show on my body. I think that my scalp might be the trigger for the P on my body which is why I stay with natural products. I vary between shampoos though. We have a shampoo in SA, called Colgate. Don't know if you know it? Its egg flavoured shampoo and awesome to my scalp. I tried a different shampoo from Avon but oi, my scalp itched like mad so I went back to egg shampoo and vary it between head and shoulders. I found that if you use an egg shampoo but use a scented conditioner to soften tour hair it will automatically trigger an itch. Dryness on your scalp. Rather go without conditioner. I know your hair will feel hard? But once its dry you may have some body too! Lol. I have thin hair so it works for me Julia. Horse shampoo is wonderful but I only wash my hair once every two weeks with it.

Thanks for the advise I use mud shampoo from the dead sea and Alveno which is all nature I just have P on my scalp
