Mine is so much better than 2 years ago, no one would know i have it :),I changed my Diet/lifestyle and things improved within around 3 months, I wish you all well :)

Don @don1

it's now different...depending how well you work with your doctor's.

I am struggling with my feet at the moment, I have little to no grip in my hands as some fingers won’t bend to form a fist. I would say it was gradual until the last few years and now it is rampant. I have changed a few things in my diet, like not having tomatoes etc. as well has having no dairy or gluten for many years. It is a slow process to work on. Best wishes.

Thanks Don, i have never dealt with Doctors with this,In the beginning i did as i knew what it was, Doctors did not,I was given pills for dry eyes as it was severe and they made me ill, i was very sick for a couple of weeks, not seen docs for this since, that was 16 years ago,I managed myself throughout that time, thanks :)

lyn @lyns

I think mine is on it's way. Got lumps on my left middle finger, and right pinky. They don't always hurt, but when they do it is painful.

Roxanne @roxanne

My hands and finger were bad for awhile with inflamation reddness and pain but .The PA has done its damage and they aren't too bad now.
My toes took the most of it.

Roxanne @roxanne

I had 2 removed so I could walk without much pain.

We're all doomed! Haha, have oa in one finger ,mañnn that was bad ,did ask for it to be taken off but dr wouldn't comply,so get how you feel Roxanne, hope your pain free now.3 years totally inflamed ,tried drugs natural and all sorts, now to stage 2 drugs as am way over the all over pain.😊

One thing I know for sure, STRESS, certainly affects PsA! Even though Ive had P for 45+ years, never knew about PsA until 10 years ago 51 yo...not fun times, bankruptcy, lost my job the following month, my mom had the beginning of Alz & so on....right in the middle of a kickboxing body ached so bad, had to leave, wasnt muscular pain...went to Dr, not gout as he thought - saw (2) rheumatoid Dr.s who wanted to put me on chemo meds, commonly used for PsA ,which I refused as the side effects were horrific & not a fan of meds.. I lived on Alieve over the counter for the pain & forced myself to get back into yoga...At first I couldnt even sit cross legged as it was in my times had to sit on my bum to go down steps...after a few weeks it actually got much better...oddly, I find it also can float through your body...1 month it was my knees, month or so later, my lower back, neck etc. My chrio & acupuncturist really help! I just have to get back into a healthy lifestyle...this time of year I tend to cheat with drinking/junk food and its not worth it...I do have some permanent joint damage in my fingers that Ive learned to live with, though it does hinder certain things...Ive even lost nails because of it...

Sorry to hear all this Lynn,I diagnosed myself with arthritis as the Docs couldnt figure my dry eye syndrome and my nails coming off, then the psoriatic arthritis came in and that was difficult, i was running one night and all was fine, did a mile run with a friend, next night i went out got to the gate and i was in intense pain from my ankles then it started spreading to sockets, fingers etc mainly on one side oh and the back too, then i got ill from taking meds for dry eye syndome that did nothing , i went to work but had to take it easy, it took 3 years to subside from that state ,i dont know how, still had joint problem but not severe as it was,,I put up with it no meds at all and my thumb came up with a nodual and hard to bend around 7 years later which can be seen though not bad,Winter months my joints had got worse every year as usual and then 2 years ago i joined here and changed my diet, joints are good really cant complain,i went out on the mega smash everyday for a week last and within 2 days my ankles swelled up and i had bit of a nuisance time walking in the morning but recovered as soon as i had a rum and coke lol,I look at my ankles now and they look normal, inflammation gone so i know alcohol triggers it off, all is good now since going back to eating well and not drinking :)
