Hey John. Yes 2 years a quite a while to be on here but i'd say it's good. :) I did not think I would be on Flaym for longer than a month or so as support groups can become very boring and depressing. Flaym is different. I've learned a lot since joining and my mindset have changed as well - apart from my diet. My P haven't really bothered me as I do not have it severe but, if I did not change my lifestyle, my P would've been worse than now. I think. Maybe my PsA would've been way worse than it was before I've I joined.

Congrats John I joined mainly because I was looking for a bit of help with my hubby's P. As I only had it a little in my ears. I've loved all the advice and inspiration on this site so much. I feel like we one big family spread across the world. Happy 2019 to you all

I also learned a lot from here, My P is under control, not disappeared completely but I am happy to change diet and lifestyle. Diet is the best treatment for P.

I “arrived” last April shortly after diagnosis. It has been very helpful. Became RN in 1956, was in it for 32 yrs and knew nothing about P.
Everyone in Flaym has been helpful.

Yes its good here Margaret R,The things that i heard when i first came here was well some was pretty horrific on the storys i had heard and that prompted me to make some changes, I have done many experiments while since i been here and none have really worked to be honest,Diet/lifestyle has saved my joints for sure, My skin is a mystery though i am sure i get less flakes build up than 2 years ago,No one would know i have joint disease as i am not going around in aches and pains etc and i been told i look healthy and at a good weight these days :), I listened to a few here that are not here now, left well over a year ago,If it wasnt for these people helping me and my research , where would i be now? worse, no doubt,Its worth a bash and make some changes even if not everything ,One maybe surprised how they feel and have less inflammation and feel better generally, :)

What I like about this site are the people. The information about what people are doing to improve their P is helpful but even more so is the non judgemental attitude of its members, and the kindness which is apparent. I’ve never personally known anyone with P and it’s comforting to be able to share and commiserate with others about our skin conditions. 🌻🌻🌻

Thank you Linda :) I am glad we can all help each other in some way,We can only try things to make it better, i know i tried many things,Being a lifer since birth i am used to it seeing it daily, I have had times in my life where it looked so good and i looked like a clear skin, I used to go to raves years ago and go topless with dancing etc and my skin wasnt even noticed it was that good,I dont get it as i was smoking like a chimny and drinking like a fish figure that? I believe just keep trying stuff and see what helps one with making it comfortable and see if anything will calm it down? I am on a liverel supplement at the moment, been over 2 weeks, no change, i got keep going with this for 3 months i been told and i am doing vitamin D, calcium as i dont do dairy and vitamin C trying not to get colds,I will update on this in couple of months to see if change, I know these things can take time so patience is an imperative for me and hope that things will get better , I thank you Linda, so kind of you to say that Thank you :)

I have been on here just over a year and joined when I was at my lowest point and feeling very low , reading some of members comments and the incouragement made me carry on . I have changed my diet and take some many vitamins etc ( also Liveral ) but not seen any changes apart from a big flare up at the moment where I am putting creams on etc at least 6-8 times a day as it seems to me drying out so quickly :( but as a Flaker I will carry on hopeing it will improve :) Happy New Year everyone :)

Michelle

Ai EI, seeing you so positive warms my heart. I'm proud of you. I've learned that when you’re hopeful the future will be better, you are willing to do everything it takes to make it happen. However, when you’ve already lost hope, it’s very likely that nothing will ever change about your situation. We have to stay optimistic right? as it leads to achievement. Happy new year EI :)
