Coping, treatment

Hi everyone . I start Uv treatment on Wednesday. I have to decide if I want my face to be exposed or not . I have plaques on my forehead but concerned of potential damage to face. Any comments would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi Jenny 777. I'm sorry, I don't have any experience with UV treatments. I have read up on Synthetic Vitamin D drugs for facial Psoriasis. Have you tried that before?

I decided against exposing my face and have a vitamin D cream to put on my forehead . Will update later with how I am getting on with UVB 😊

Well it’s now 3 weeks since finishing the UVB treatment . It worked quite well at first but couldn’t have a longer dose than 2 minutes 12 seconds as skin went red . Would say I was 95%clear then 2 weeks before end of treatment had 3 new patches appear which was disappointing. I now have a few small dots on my arm as well . I am just hoping that the bigger patches will not come back so at least I can be happy this summer to show my legs off . Will try and upload a new picture of my leg (profile picture ) to see the difference 😊

I am 65 , had psoriasis for 9 years , triggered I think by traumatic event in my life. Worse now than it’s ever been but determined it will get better 😊
