Hi all at Flaym! Good to check in after a while of being away. Period of mega change this last few months! Skin wise, fairly calm. Added back in quite a few foods from the auto immune diet experiments of last year. Happy new year all 🌟

Hello Susan, good to hear from you, I have some news. While you were gone, the rest of us formed a lottery syndicate and won 538 squillion pounds. We're all on a private beach in the Bahamas.

What foods are those?

Michelle

lol James. Yes, and we are eating lots of coconuts. Not only eating it, but bathing in it too. James climbed the tree to steal the coconuts. very exciting ;)

Hi Sarah and glad to see you back. We missed you. :) Wonderful to hear your skin has calmed down. You had such great success with some of your auto immune experiments and I'm sure the newbies would love to hear more about it. Happy new year!

Happy New Year all .. I am also back from my hols.....just dealing with very painful flare under my fingernails.....not sure if its the cleaning & chemicals which caused this....I know I should use gloves but I don't ...

Happy New Year Ellen! Great to have you back. You've been missed :) I can imagine how painful your fingers must be. I'm sorry to hear. Cleaning products are so bad for us which is why I use gloves but the thing is one can't get a good grip when wearing gloves. I hope it gets better soon :)

Thanx Michelle...great to be back with all my Flaymers.....true that glove story is a problem ....

I hate wearing latex gloves too Ellen. What kind of cleansers are you using? I’ve switched over to using vinegar mixed with water (50/50 ratio) with lemon essential oil added. Not toxic and cheap! Vinegar works very well. I hated the smell of the toxic cleansers.

Hi Rita... I use Domestos , Handy Andy & Tile Cleaner and Dishwashing Liquid.. I do keep a vinegar & water mix in a spray bottle for my counter tops as I have an Ant problem ....

I’m trying to use baking soda and the vinegar solution in more house cleaning areas. Trying to avoid toxic chemicals but for sure in some areas something stronger is preferred!

Hi Ellen Does Vinegar and water mixture work for keeping ants away?

Julie
Julie @jewelgold

Michelle, does this vinegar and water spray do well for bathrooms and do you use the lemon oil to assist the cleaning or just for fragrance?

Rita
Rita @rita

Hi Julie. The lemon in the vinegar mixture is antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral. Vinegar is a great disinfectant so the two combined makes a great cleaning solution. I use it everywhere in the house including the bathroom.

Oh hell Julia, I have no clue about vinegar and water. First time I hear of that. Good thing I'm not a house wife. But, I can service my own car. lol.
I would've been divorced centuries ago. I use the normal cleaning stuff like Ellen but I do wear gloves. I am definitely going to try the vinegar and water. Thanks you all.

Hi Bev...its hard to say if the vinegar works ..coz if I drop anything on my counter or leave bowls with stuff in , guaranteed I will find them crawling all over & in the bowl .Its actually frustrating as on a Sunday all lunch is left on the counter for those that want seconds... well not in my house , have to pack food away in the fridge as soon as they have dished up ..don't know where these ants come from as I look for the ant trail but cant find it ... no start & no end ... they just there by the food.. Im past frustrated now ...

Ellen
Ellen @ellen4

I could use some deadly stuff but because of the grand kids I cannot..and also its around food...

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

That's it Ellen, I have a grandchild and pets and I can't really use poisonous products. I have ants too and like yours, they are everywhere. Just sitting there and waiting.

Sorry Michelle and Rita, I got mixed on who posted the vinegar and water spray. I am certainly going to try it with the lemon oil. Thank you.

It's okay Julie. I do it sometimes too. Get mixed up with posts. The vinegar and water is definitely a try. Anything to help to not get our Psoriasis worse :)
