Thank you Clive, same story for me every winter though this year is a bit more with flakes , maybe , my letting my hair down, some emotional stress maybe ? i know winter is always my problem,Yes, i heard its been very hot and humid in SA,I am sorry about this Clive,Too hot is not good i know that, why in summer in UK, i tend to stay out of the sun in the hottest peak which is around 11 am to 3 pm,It could be worse and there are people worse out there with this, I am okay, not giving me too much hassle thankfully, Its a battle for all of us i know, i am good thanks and sorry about the blistering heat, I know it was hot when i went to South Africa over 2 months ago and its not like it is there now with heat , thanks Clive :),

Ouch that looks sore John. I hope you manage to get on the top of it soon. Yes Clive if it's too hot and humid it really affects the P. It's not too had been n CT at the moment

Hello Bev, because i keep it well lubed up,I rather it look like this than dry and flakey and possible cracking and maybe some blood to add to the mix, which i dont want,, Thank you :)

I know you do so many things for your skin John. I hope you can get rid of this patch too. I’ve been adding a lot of liquid vitamin D3 to my cream. I take 6,000 IU internally but like you the sun really helps my skin and I know that some psoriasis medications contain a lot of vitamin D so I thought why not put some in the cream?! Considering it’s winter for me too (-20 Celsius at the moment!), my skin is doing quite well. Good luck John

Hi John. It does look sore but I'm sure it's not. You had a shower before you took the picture? It always look worse than it is. Well you're on your healthy diet and I'm sure it will fade. Only 3 months of winter left for you :) You'll have a party in the sun in summer. You had great holidays last year and this year the darts vader - I think all that crap eating holidays might have had an effect on your P too and it's only showing now? Eating junk food for 1 or 2 days is still okay but a whole week might trigger the P. That's how it works with me but I know we are not all the same. The cold makes it worse though. You'll be fine. Just stay with your diet and I hope it gets better soon :)
Clive, yes it's too hot and humid here in Gauteng. I did get flakes because of it but now it's gone. I think it's because of all the fish and veggies I've been eating. The fish mainly. Good luck with your P and I hope it gets better soon for you too. Hang in there. I'ts almost winter lol. Oh, we just can't win can we??
Bev, I might visit CT for a weekend to cool down. :)

Hi John , My patches are the same as yours , it seems that mine are going dry very quickly so I am now putting cream on every hour or so ( if I get a chance )

Roll on the summer :)

Hello Michelle yes,I showered just before i took pics thats right, can look worse i know ,Yes i been eating very healthy in the week and continue,Yes with me jet setting and darts, oooooh, i ate crap at darts, very bad but,all i could eat was crap as they dont nice nice food at darts and just to think people out there eat crap daily like that and i did 3 days of it and drinking like a fish too for hours on end, luckily my joints were okay as i stuck to beer mainly,I didnt eat the best on my holidays abroad either before the darts and again drank like a fish :), Yes could be a combo of cold which usually gets worse from that weather eat healthy or not though bad foods may had made it worse, but not huge difference than usual winters ,Sorry you got cream up every hour El thats a lot , Summer hurry up, come to us ,Thank you :)

Michelle @michelle1021

Yes it's amazing how some people can eat like that every day. I'll surely die from bloatedness and itching, not to mention I'll be covered in P. I like eating crap when I'm on holiday but I do know I'm going to suffer after that. Oh well. Lets enjoy our holidays right. Stay warm!

Yes i do feel itchy now and again at the moment but, i avoid scratching, i dont itch generally at all, just odd time now ,Trying not to scratch my Toxin portal patch can be a challenge at the moment ,I go into funny spasms and probably make strange faces but, its worth it as scratching it will go in a cycle of more scratching :)

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

so true. Oh and the wonderful feeling of scratching. You just can't stop. Whenever I take a very hot bath I itch like mad and I can't stop. At that moment I love the itch because the scratching is good.

Hi guys , on the same note of this conversation , i live on the coastal belt of SA near Durban where the temperature is on average between 25-35 degrees Celsius and very humid, and my P is flaring up constantly , however in the winter months here which are cooler and dryer i am in heaven with hardly any P , does this weird opposite effect of seasons happen to anyone else ???

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

Hi Clive. I'm in Johannesburg and winter is worse for me. Whenever I go to the coast, Durban or CT my P flares up. We used to go to Durban in May /June when its much cooler and my P was okay with the climate. The humidity in summer is the problem for me.

Rita
Rita @rita

Living in Canada I have the opposite problem. My skin is very happy in the hot, humid summer and during winter, when all the windows are closed, no sun on my skin and we're heating the house, my skin dries up and my psoriasis worsens. No perfect place to live?!

Michelle
Michelle @michelle1021

When my skin dries up, the P actually fades. But taking in to consideration I live in SA. Don't know if its the same with my fellow south Africans.

Bev
Bev @bev43

My hubby's fade as well most look like it's gone and some have faint marks

Yes true Clive, If its just warm my skin gets better, not a miracle by no means but i get less than half of the flakes,I am dosing myself with all these pills and give time to see, I do have flake fade in some places, i got another 6 weeks to see if this is going to be near gone :), I cant see it happening but, its always worth a try to try these things, I am on a healthy diet, drink water throughout the day, cant do anymore than that, Thanks :)

Jen
Jen @jen1984

It was the same here in North Queensland, Australia Clive. We had above average temps for 3 weeks and very humid. I flared up worse than ever. We are now being flooded with monsoonal rains for last 2 weeks and my skin is near clear. Go figure. I can't follow it anymore.
