Coping, treatment, healthcare system
So in South Africa we can now buy alcohol . It was banned for the covid 19- lock down until level 3. It is now legal to buy alcohol. Yes...I bought my wine :).but how does alcohol impact your life? I'm not bothered with it as I'm a smoker.

Cant see how SA can allow Alochol but ban cigarettes. What do you think is better? Alcohol or cigarettes? If you're a non dringer and non smoker, I'd appreciate your comments.

I'm a smoker, drink very very socially maybe twice a year if that, so when I was younger I did drink more & it didn't effect me all that much, but my EX wife drank daily & that really effected me. Part of the reason she is my EX!

In Canada, the alcohol stores were considered essential services! I do enjoy my glass of red wine almost daily. Many times I’ve completely eliminated it for long lengths of time but it helps my anxiety and my digestion. It has no affect on my skin whatsoever. Cheers!

alcohol can be a problem yes. one needs to learn how to control it. I'm being honest here, alcohol and I aren't friends. I get drunk quickly and do lots of crap but what I have to add is that I have never seen alcohol as problem. thing is ...the person having the alcohol (like myself) is the problem. in how you take it. My system is not built for having too much alcohol. I admit it. I get drunk quick. but learning on how to control the intake is anther discussion. (like myself). alcohol affects people, partners, family members and if we are not mature enough to handle it then leave it. but we don't listen.
Steve- yes she might be your ex but remember, her vision was different from yours. you made a wise decision but she might never had someone to show her a way out?
Rita: in SA, our liquor stores were closed for 2 months. its was sad to me lol. I love my wine!! alcohol is now permitted but sigarettes are banned.... how do you open liquor stores but ban sigarettes? stupid

I do limit the quantity of red wine I drink; only ever 1 glass. And it doesn’t get me drunk. I never change when I drink. It simply relaxes me. My husband, who is a non drinker of alcohol, encourages me to drink! Sometimes he’ll say “isn’t it wine time?”!

Michelle she knew, she had me complaining all the time, she claimed she wasn't alcohol dependent because she only drank after 5pm. This went on for 8 yrs. But anyway I never really noticed my P getting worse when I did use to drink, but I've been on Bio's for 16 yrs now & the one I'm on now is the best :)
